The thing is that right now the public cares more about Cheryl and Ashley or Kate and Wills. Phone hacking – a complex business, difficult to condense into a snappy paragraph, not black and white, might land some connected people in trouble, therefore #notagoodstory.

i still think this is not a truth bomb, other than the people-like-glitz-more-than-politics bit. landing some connected people in trouble = good story, surely.

i would not venture to read anybody else's mind but i feel there may have been an element of mockery in posting said statement to this thread
