those quiet village remixes prove my contention that beardo-stuff is basically just trip hop pt 2.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR QUIET VILLAGE REMIXES

THEY ARE TRULY, DEEPLY EXCELLENT LISTENING

moonship journey to baja, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 22:10 (nineteen years ago)

my sarcasm detector never works on vahid posts.

gr8080, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 22:13 (nineteen years ago)

given his snide comments about quiet village elsewhere, i would say sarcasm.

funny, though, i thought he liked the stuff up until a bit ago.

the table is the table, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 22:41 (nineteen years ago)

wait so did i

i don't read ILM much tho

river wolf, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 22:46 (nineteen years ago)

I don't think it's sarcasm, I think it goes something like this: "lol quiet village is the new trip-hop .... that's not a dis! I love trip-hop"

dmr, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 22:48 (nineteen years ago)

maybe between the four of us we can figure this out

dmr, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 22:49 (nineteen years ago)

what does he mean by "truly, deeply excellent"

max, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 22:50 (nineteen years ago)

i still have no idea wether he likes the Hot Chip DJ Kicks or not.

gr8080, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 23:02 (nineteen years ago)

not that it matters, i'm just saying i have a hard Tuomas time figuring out when he likes something or is being sarcastic on the internets.

gr8080, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 23:03 (nineteen years ago)

Can we even put a earnest/sarcastic dichotomy on all that is the vahid?

but if he's anything like me, i'd say nogo on the hotchip kicks - too bumpy for a mix...

quiet village is great, but i get the impression they must be stockpiling delay pedals in case of the apocalypse.

BleepBot, Wednesday, 13 June 2007 23:07 (nineteen years ago)

jaxon the mountain of one is great! if you get a chance to up ep1 i will be eternally in yr debt

max, Thursday, 14 June 2007 00:42 (nineteen years ago)

moonship journey to baja, Thursday, 14 June 2007 02:53 (nineteen years ago)

check track 7, van allen's belt off of that fila album for a mega-can-moonshake workout

cutty, Thursday, 14 June 2007 02:56 (nineteen years ago)

btw, i've been seriously loving those AMO ep's for a while now, so weird and good

cutty, Thursday, 14 June 2007 02:57 (nineteen years ago)

i've come around to radio slave. i really like his essential mix, and lots of the stuff on rekids (like "u askin" and "life soundtrack" ... both already in my top 10 this year) ... i think his most of his artist work as rekid still sorta sucks but whatever. i really like quiet village ... a LOT.

most of my really pissy bitchfests on ILM are disguised pleas for help ... as in "help i don't GET dubstep, like AT ALL, please someone explain it to me". thing is nobody is usually up for the game. =(

moonship journey to baja, Thursday, 14 June 2007 02:58 (nineteen years ago)

also i think it's very healthy, no, fuck it, it's urgent and key to have a love-hate relationship with the music you listen to.

moonship journey to baja, Thursday, 14 June 2007 02:59 (nineteen years ago)

i have listened to that villalobos Encuentro... track like a billion times this week

river wolf, Thursday, 14 June 2007 03:06 (nineteen years ago)

vahid what is your favorite of the 3 QV 12's?

i think the first is still my favorite but i listen to the second a lot more.

gr8080, Thursday, 14 June 2007 03:44 (nineteen years ago)

wait there is three? i thought it was only two and some unreleased tracks floating around...

my favorite of their originals is 'negro,' without a doubt. i could listen to that song all day.
