My greatest delight upon discovering ILE/ILM a few years ago was meeting people who thought Christine McVie was their favorite Macster.
― Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 02:40 (eighteen years ago)
"so i was in a salvation army the other day looking at the records and i passed up the lindsey produced walter egan "not shy" album"
the 70's egan stuff is pretty good. you would like it. the album you really need though is:

it's a steely/mac hybrid. larry carlton. stevie nicks. total l.a. smooth niceness
― scott seward, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 02:47 (eighteen years ago)
also really good:

― get bent, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 02:55 (eighteen years ago)
should i watch episodes based on fleetwood mac joeks?
― tehresa, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 03:30 (eighteen years ago)
yeah it's pretty funny - though i don't think i laughed out loud - there's a good synthesizers bit in the 2nd ep too - it's a dry humour show and it's in nyc, so i like it
― rrrobyn, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 04:07 (eighteen years ago)
Rob130290 (1 month ago) Show Hide Marked as spam -1 (Reply) (Spam) I prefer Tusk, but that's because of Lindsey's eccentricity. But his production work on Rumours was amazing, it wouldn't have done half as well if it weren't for his production work alone, not in mind his creative abilites also.
Lindsey = Sexlord

srsly the guitar sound on ledge
― cutty, Wednesday, 5 December 2007 01:53 (eighteen years ago)
oh, tusk. i have a 2nd copy now. harmonies toward the end of walk a thin line = one of my favorite bits of recorded music.
wikipedia teaches me something new everyday: Somewhat surprisingly, original guitarist Green also took part in the sessions, but his playing for the Christine McVie track "Brown Eyes" is not credited on the album. Anyone got a source on that?
― ian, Wednesday, 5 December 2007 03:50 (eighteen years ago)
nope i think its bull
― chaki, Wednesday, 5 December 2007 06:45 (eighteen years ago)
i want to investigate the kirwan years, do you prefer Bare Trees or Future Games??
― gershy, Wednesday, 5 December 2007 08:22 (eighteen years ago)
bare trees is classic in my op kirwan's best (along w/kiln house) but christine mcv is good on future games

A long interview with Mick Fleetwood in one of our local rags in 1997. He admitted that Green played the solo; he cried while listening, at the thought of so much wasted talent.
― Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Wednesday, 5 December 2007 12:23 (eighteen years ago)
yeah, that's Green. Is it really not credited? I thought it was. It's talked about in his biography. I'll see if I can quote the relevant passage when I get home. Green also plays some guitar on the 'Penguin' lp, which came out long after he'd left.
'Bare Trees' is probably the better album, but 'Future Games' does have some nice long extended guitar passages for the Kirwan fan. get 'em both!

we are talking about tusk though -- so it's just the least awesome song on a set of awesome songs. it's REALLY hard to pick a favorite, but my inner yachtrocksmoovediscophile is a total ho for "brown eyes."
