Can't check Tuvan singing right now but one of my favourite gigs this year ws seeing an improv between a Tuvan-type throat singer and a gtrist. Really took away any of the 'exoticism', I thought.

dj harvey mad dog chronicles off of here
not that dancey ... funky classic rock and fusion
http://www.lovefingers.org/

haven't listened to everything else on there but Harvey, Lovefingers, Thomas Bullock (from Rub N Tug), Speculator (East Village Radio dude, posts on DJs Post Your Mixes For Download thread) are all kind of in that disco/rock/hairy fusion style

also I really dug this one, the guy who made it has posted here occasionally ... hope he won't mind if I re-up, it was free on a blog in the first place

i'm in the mood so here is both sides of an old 45 by the hondells.

i remember when i first brought it home from the thrift store and i put it on it sounded really familiar. oh well, duh! yo la tengo covered little honda and i dated world's huegest YLT fan for a spring and summer so here it is. anyways, GREAT old rock n roll tunes about the quintessential teenage topic of the time: blowing off school to go driving!
