n/a i def dig some of those -- the benten fake boat shoe can get lost imo (esp when the boyne looks better & works similarly) but i fuxx with the nuss & the shaheen (basically, chukkas with flat soles are great)

i dont get the solis tho ... the fake wallabee thing is a mystery to me

i've been searching for new shoes for spring because i have no shoes for walking around. except my cowboy boots. which are boots. but even in nyc i could not find what i wanted. so i think i'm just going to cut out some pictures of shoes i like and then just go to this shoemaker dude here and get him to make me some damn shoes.

i got a pair of crocs santa cruz a while back, and while they are too ugly to really wear anywhere, they are extremely comfy. i put them on for short walks around the neighborhood.

boat shoes are too ubiquitous, but i don't see that many people (at least in sf) wearing mocs like the quoddys.

the ones i posted above are from their made in usa line, so not as cheap (at least in price, haven't seen the quality in person).

I'm sorry I'm such a hater and don't know anything about fashun but neither boat shoes nor mocs will ever signify anything to me except nerdy clueless jr highers who don't know not to dress like their dads/as conservatively as possible.

And I'm not ruling myself out of that bunch, because I wore multi-colored boat shoes for at least several years between 12 and 18. Sockless, year-round.

Before the boat shoe years, I did wear boy's penny loafers for a while, too. I mean I have done the gamut, I'm not saying I haven't. I just can't fathom ever ever repeating it.

Wonderful. I'm seriously considering a pair of Golas in the reverse of that, green suede with white stripes, to replace my Pumas as non-athletic athletic shoes.

I'm going back on forth on whether to put fatter white laces on them.

I found these on sale for super cheap when I was in Italy last summer - like 30 euro and the exchange rate was really good - but the dude in the store laughed and laughed when I asked if they had European size 46, as if such a size was preposterous. I still love them and want to buy some but it's hard after seeing them so cheap.
