blues control is noisy (and awesome!) but i think i remember a bulletin re: the show advertising djs as well. i rly want to go but they go on at like 11:30? maybe i can make an exception to my not staying out too late on 'school nights' thing since i will be out anyway for plans earlier in eve.

I'm sure they're psyched at moby...and when they're not all about the baltimore/ghetto/breaks thing they're all on the nu-rave tip as in not so much the rock band but suddenly there's another rave revival (there was one a few years ago...and a few years before that) so getting Moby is a real coupe!

Blues Control are playing at ISS, a party hosted by a woman named Chase and featuring Jacques Renaul and Speculator(who posts to the DJ post yr mix thread) who both know their stuff. Being tribecca it's a bit fashioned out at times, but can be fun. I saw Beppe Loda and Alexander Robotnik and Rub-n-Tug at that party. Different nights though. Actually Loda and Robotnick where on following weeks but Loda was already in town (or about to leave) and met Robotnik for the first time at that party. LEGENDARY. Anyway, throwing Blues Control into the mix is pretty wild.

I've seen more celebs these 2 days than when I lived in LA. I saw Phillip Glass and Jason Bateman on the same block. Molly Shannon. The boss from ugly Betty. Some dude from Veronica Mars. Simon Rex. And I shook scarlett johansson's hand last night. And I haven't met a single noise dude or dudette. Wtf.
