I'm satisfied with my new pair of New Balance 663's but a little disappointed with New Balance's raised prices. I bought my my old running shoes (New Balance 992's — one of the rare models still made in the US) for about $60 in 2008, and they're now selling for $80. the 663's are almost identical to the 992's in terms of design, except the soles are made of solid (synthetic) rubber rather than deluxe shock-absorbing foam-based polymer. I didn't wear the 992's for running anyways, so they were probably overkill anyways, meh.

oddly, about 3/4 of the medium-width New Balance models I tried on were too narrow for my feet. the two pairs I own (both medium-width) fit perfectly. the wide (E) ones are invariably too wide.

im sure grady can pull those shoes off but i dont think i could. the white piping is a bit much

not being able to get away with white piping is a milquetoast hallmark.

i have huge feet for my height so i like shoes that have thin soles and/or no-heels. anything with a big sole and i feel like i have fins on.

bought those black ones w/ the white piping.

got them on b0nobos. when i bought a purple suit the price dropped $102 the next day, so i wrote them and was like "that sucks." so they gave it to me in store credit.

the red on the flynt's is a little ~much~ but i just like red shoes... was considering getting a pair of bright red tom's canvas slipons cuz they were 50% off & they made spring seem so much more real

visvims are dope but i'd never wear something with a heel that thick.

got a ton of compliments on my black zürick's with the white piping tonite. one girl even made sure to email me the name of the "best shoe repair guy on the island" for when i eventually need to get them re-soled.

i am just looking for some basic kedsish low-tops. i think those were "stylish" a couple summers ago but i am perpetually behind.

i got some pf flyers last summer because everyone seemed to like them but they seemed kind of flimsy and looked dingy basically right away

idk i have a couple of pairs of pf flyers (the bob cousy los) in gray and white, they look p fresh imo & are more comfortable than keds/converse

i think tom's are still the 'stylish' cheap canvas shoe for summer
