oh weird i had a dream last night and i heard the takako minekawa song from nausicaa in a cab on the radio and was trying to sing along but butchering it and the cab driver laughed at me.

bell_labs, Friday, 27 April 2007 17:36 (nineteen years ago)

thanks, Dan.

Edward, I would love to hear it if its not a hassle.

t. weiss, Friday, 27 April 2007 17:39 (nineteen years ago)

my friend sent me this track a while ago. pretty much a japanese version of Steely Dan from 77.
Tatsuro Yamashita

jaxon, Friday, 27 April 2007 17:55 (nineteen years ago)

oops, song's called Solid Slider (sounds gross to me whatever it is)

jaxon, Friday, 27 April 2007 17:55 (nineteen years ago)

Nice. I heart your Robots In Heat site.
(This tune would go so well with Yasuko Agawa's "L.A. Nights" on the Steely Nippon tip)

AoA - Passport for Life

Whole record is good but this taps into awesome techno / terry riley / vision creation newsun vibe. Beginning is a little bit less rad than middle and end but give the percussion a chance to build

bb, Tuesday, 1 May 2007 20:49 (nineteen years ago)

disc 2 is live osaka city uni 1998? bookended with two other short tracks
ep has a live UOREDOMS set (superharsh version of v∞redoms -- vein of super roots 5 / super now / super sky/77 12" / 2001 boredoms 12"), a rad chill remix of some material that i don't recognize and an edit of CIRCLE

hey jaxon thanks for finders keepers. jw do you care if it's nakamura w/ someone else or do you want solo.

strgn, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 06:31 (nineteen years ago)

no preferences

JW, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 12:09 (nineteen years ago)

hey jaxon thanks for finders keepers.

yeah, ditto. it's good. btw I flipped when I heard that Isis song on there ("April Fool"). my wife works with someone who used to be in that band. I found the LP that has that song on it about a year and a half ago and told her I liked it .... I think she was half flattered and half embarrassed (the cover is the nine or so band members, all women, wearing only silver body paint ... ahh the '60s).

dmr, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 16:23 (nineteen years ago)

here's television's poor circulation, rehearsals and live from 1974 and 1975. sound quality is about what you'd expect.

I don't have double exposure with me, that's the really good one w/ the eno demos.

chaki, Thursday, 3 May 2007 21:33 (nineteen years ago)

ha chaki

the DVD is my favorite part of the box though, rapidshare THAT

the Editions RZ comp is definitely my favorite Gruppo CD, unless you count Morricone's Gli Occhi Freddi Della Paura soundtrack

Milton Parker, Thursday, 3 May 2007 22:03 (nineteen years ago)

i havent seen the dvd but the dude on the thread i got those from said it was not very interesting rehearsal stuff. still id love to see it.

chaki, Thursday, 3 May 2007 22:04 (nineteen years ago)

the guy's wrong, they're all dressed 60's mod and relentlessly discussing the political aesthetics of improvisation and frowning a lot over martinis, it's geek thrills but if you can hack the music you'll definitely be into Roland Kayn rockin' collarless shirts

Milton Parker, Thursday, 3 May 2007 22:10 (nineteen years ago)

this is almost as good as Gli Occhi Freddi Della Paura -- they add funky drummer

http://mutant-sounds.blogspot.com/2007/02/feed-back-samelp1970italynww-list.html

Milton Parker, Thursday, 3 May 2007 22:18 (nineteen years ago)

thanks!!!

Catsupppppppppppppp dude ‫茄蕃‪, Thursday, 3 May 2007 22:25 (nineteen years ago)

they're kinda tough sledding most of the time but they do pay off, my finicky call is the feed-back as the place to start if you like weird beats / kraut-contemporary, the Ed. RZ cd if you like weird free & want to hear AMM/MEV-contemporary

this one's good too
