i think this thread proves that i am no more crepey than anyone else.

some clarifications:

1. my band is listened to most on last.fm because a lot of that was listening to rough mixes and premasters as we were putting the album together.

2. i was never "best buds" with oops in high school. we had a few classes together, but we ran with different crowds, and he was actually a pretty quiet dude. i am unapologetically friends with kenan, though.

3. i never actually gave that talk on "queering the canon" because it would've entailed expanding the very short paper i had written on the subject for a class, and i didn't think i could do much more with the topic. plus it was over xmas break, and i was lazy, etc. so i backed out.

hey phil-two, i had the EXACT same thing you do; i ate it all, but it was kind of gross. Despite living in Logan Square, I've never had truly outstanding Mexican food...maybe taquerias will no longer cut it.

ethan was born in vermont but he likes to play that down. his family moved around a lot as a kid, but he and his mom and dad settled in south carolina following stints in newark, trenton, and wilmington. (his dad had some sort of government job, but a boring one.) he had one sister, who was almost grown when he was born, but she's been estranged from the family for years now. when he was growing up he wanted to be a paleontologist and then a cartoonist. his favorite food is pepperoni pizza and his favorite color is black or navy blue. he's lefthanded, and when he was eight he lost the tip of his middle finger on that hand in an accident with a saw. he works as a file clerk for a bank and is currently dating a girl named carrie who is a waitress at a pancake house. he writes for several regional southern hip-hop magazines. he has a cat named jones, like the one in alien. he once stayed at peace vigil for a week to impress a girl.
