dirt bag style

I'm sad for that cat So undignified.

one of my two cats has an extremely dense coat. If not for the kitty-cat buzz cut, both of our lives would be completely miserable in the dead of summer. He is def willing to forsake fashion for comfort & his coat is pretty much completely back to normal w/in a few months.

light is out in my bedroom so ive been sleeping on the half-couch in the living room w/ a crate for my feet bcuz i have high ceilings & moving shit around in my room to replace the lightbulb would take too much work

there is nothing more conducive to dirt bag style living than knowing that you're only gonna be in the place for 3 or 4 months

i've actually managed to get super-organized and clean since i started this thread - to the point where i'm bordering on adrian monk type behavior - but since i got puppy it's definitely back to DBS

my fridge:

3 large bags of carrots over a month old
1 empty jar of salsa
1 less empty jar of salsa
1 tupperware of moldy leftovers
1 carton of shriveled up mushrooms
1 dried up half onion

little else

so many banh mi sandwich crumbs in my work keyboard

I brought some q tips to work cuz my keyboard was starting to freak me out.

I didn't feel like doing laundry so I washed my socks and undies in the sink

yeah, i tip mine over and tap out the crumbs every now and then its always a little depressing

coasted into a gas station this morning as my engine died after chugging on its last few drops of gas.

that's pretty heroic

have done this before! it's such a relief.

i unfortunately have had to walk down the freeway offramp blocks from my house.

i once put my last $2 into a gas tank to keep from it dying before i got home lol

Used to have a 1990 Crown Victoria station wagon with a broken gas gauge. Coasted on fumes many times, and schlepped with a gas tank to the nearest station many more. :|

coasted into a gas station this morning as my engine died after chugging on its last few drops of gas.

I had a car die on the way to trading it in at the dealer for credit on the new car I was getting. they deducted the price of the tow and my trade-in ended up being like 60 bucks.

"cleaning out my car" before giving someone a ride = throwing all contents of front and back seat (mostly burrito wrappers, paper cups and worn blazers) in the trunk.

I think it's been almost a couple years since my car's been near a vacuum cleaner and there's still some sand from the winter on the floor. I just dumped the mats out every couple months during the winter.

no gas for my cooker and no money right now to get some. have been eating noodles with microwaved water for the past week....

too lazy to cut a bagel in half so I just put some cream cheese on top.

lol in the past week i have torn bagels in to smaller pieces and dipped them in cream cheese, pita & hummus style

feel like i'm seeing & raising y'all, cinnamon & raisining y'all, by having slept with a duvet and its sheet as separate entities for the past few nights instead of getting around to fitting the sheet.

Not even, unless you took them off the dog's bed or something? The other week while my room was under construction I took all my good bedding off, and slept under one odd sheet folded in half on a bare mattress, with a wadded up towel for a pillow. Got cold in mid of night so I dragged the dirty mattress pad out of laundry and stretched it over me as insulation.

I was p sad, though, and wondered what I did wrong to end up there. Def felt like the princess of all the castles a few days later when the sanding was done and I put sheets back on bed.

took sheets off my bed to wash em, realized I didn't have quarters and haven't put the sheet back on my bed
