Special emphasis should be placed on survival techniques relating to combat. Many Floridians already understand how to prepare food and water for several weeks without electricity. The population of Okeechobee County is older and less physically able to defend themselves from an attacking Horde. Hollywood has generally ruined people's perception of how to protect yourself from zombies, and a great effort will have to be made to undo many people's false notions of survival methods against the Horde. Chainsaws look great in the movies, but will not be reasonable self defense weapons during the Gray Plague.

Is it wrong that I would love a zombie survival movie to be real life?

I think trending is supposed to = an increase over what's normal. rate of change, not top ten most searched.

When I was in high school and really into "cyberpunk" type things, I actually did a lot of research on Binaural Beats, which is what those CDs use. The theory is that there is a measurable frequency at which the brain operates when it's in different states of relaxation or focus, Alpha Waves, Beta Waves etc. By using EEG brain wave measuring devices, you can measure what state you're in, Beta waves are normal, Alpha waves when you're super relaxed, etc. The theory is that while these waves are at such a low frequency that generating audio in that range would be too low to hear, by using the binaural beating of two different tones in each ear, the brain somehow combines/divides them to end up with the desired frequency, helping you reach that state. They would often combine this with flashing lights in glasses, due to the similar theory that the visual pulses change your brain state. I remember reading that watching a flickering candle or fire would have the same result, which is why people often zone out watching a fire. They used to write about this stuff all the time in Mondo 2000, and you could buy the machines. Walkmen that came with sunglasses. Here's a site that explains more and tells you how to make one:

http://www.hackcanada.com/homegrown/wetware/brainwave/

Furthermore, improvements in relaxation, memory, creativity, stress management, sleep disorders, and even ESP(!) can be had by utilizing a brain-wave machine.
