Also, I've had plenty of experiences where I've woken up from dreams and seen lots of persistent things happening on my retinas or whatever, but I wrote them off as being my serotonin or whatever being overactive.

What freaked me out about all of my "alien" dreams was the sense that I was being beckoned to follow some whooooosh stream which I was scared to follow up on at the time. Maybe if I had experimented more with DMT or something, I would have been more willing to follow up?

In all honesty, I guess i'm not self-aware enuff such that I realize how I might be guilty of this kinda thing on a regular basis.
