and the 6 yr old(!) that was shot was on the edge yuppie/art student enclave Bolton Hill

dude okay, so just after i posted that last night, i was walking up charles st. around the train station at 9 pm-ish and suddenly 6 or 7 cop cars come tearing up the block, sirens blazing, only to ALL do a complete 180 and then head back down the street the wrong way, bang out a right onto mount royal, and the next thing i know they're all up in the block behind 1722/club charles, and then BACK on charles and on to parts unknown (up north ave?). there were about 10 cop cars in the area in total and at least two helicopters. i for about a minute i honestly thought it might be a wire shoot until i realized there was absolutely no cast or crew anywhere.

wtf is going on these days??

i THINK they might have been chasing this kid on a motorbike because he came tearing down charles the wrong way right before all the cop cars did their 180, but i have no idea why.

man I always sleep on the Noize board and miss threads like this. I could've told stories about when my metal band played the Sidebar! homicides are up like 10 from this time last year, though, so depressing.

my girl's starting grad school @ College Park in the fall and I'm super bummed that we're probably moving to LAUREL :( keeping my job in the city, though.

also re: that $2 bill story, I remember back when that happened a couple years ago I was working the register at a store up the road from there in Cockeysville, and it didn't surprise me at all, people seemed really paranoid about counterfeit bills around there.
