I knew Gzeus personally. I've occasionally come to this thread over the years to remember just what the fuck.

She's out as trans now. I just came across something online talking about how after you transition, you still have a lot of work to do to unpack whatever issues you had before. Probably somewhat predictably, at least in the ~2016-2018 era that I followed her on Twitter, she was professing that it had solved all her problems, i.e. everyone that stressed her out was at fault for THAT reason now, and also that was why she was entirely blameless for stressing out the people she stressed out. e.g. a family member didn't IMMEDIATELY support her transition, so she said openly under her well-known username that this family member had a particular venereal disease and particular substance abuse issues. She said something about how she knew she was "really trans" because all her male RPG characters had been one-dimensional, might-makes-right assholes, psychologically in the same breath as when she was talking (again, openly under her well-known username) about how if she was doing sound at shows, if she felt an artist disrespected her, she'd make them sound good in the monitors and bad in the PA so that the audience would think they sucked and they wouldn't know why, which, y'know, it didn't make her "feel strong" to think about that was doing some part to ruin the audience's night and the reputation of the venue, so she just didn't--she was just being a one-dimensional, might-makes-right asshole. (NOTE: I'm not saying she's "not really trans"--I'm saying that particular aspect of her personality didn't indicate so at that particular time.)

She'd always done that kind of thing a lot. She likes to think of herself as very observant and good at pattern recognition, I think because times that's gone well for her stand out in her mind and she really likes to emphasize them psychologically, but she also thinks she's entirely free to arbitrarily, completely ignore all evidence to the contrary by everyone else, because it doesn't make her feel good. There's a book on my list I heard the author talk about on NPR, Strangers to Ourselves: Discovering the Adaptive Unconscious, where he said if everyone gives you different advice, you should probably stick to what you believe about yourself, but if the advice is pretty much unanimous, chances are other people see something about you that you don't. My point is Gzeus often complains about why EVERYONE treats her this way or that, and constantly does all kinds of mental gymnastics, convincing no one but herself, why everyone in the world is wrong except for her and, if she's feeling particularly expansive, whoever she arbitrarily decides to support, because it arbitrarily makes her feel strong (while simultaneously objectively weakening her, e.g. she was still BRAGGING about having very few followers as though that somehow "proves" she's in a rarefied air and not that she just doesn't have her thumb on the pulse of... anyone).

I could go on, but there are limits to taste and I don't want to get too personal.

If I may, and this may be controversial to anyone who might still be reading it, but something that isn't said outright in this entire, one-time debacle is that Gzeus was... someone who would've worn a black triangle in the Holocaust. Like, she's basically disabled (like I think her being "in business for (her)self" was just trying to buy low and sell high on eBay while being means-tested) and dude told her she was "a waste of space."

My point is that SHE doesn't say that--she just, arbitrarily, of her own free will, comes out with the "racial slur" thing. Which was justified in her mind because, without her ever doing the social and emotional labor in her own defense and ever saying it, everyone is supposed to know and care she's a member of an oppressed minority.

As someone who would've worn a black triangle in the Holocaust, too many people who would've worn a black triangle in the Holocaust feel like, because they feel powerless, they're somehow incapable of doing harm or oppressing anyone else, no matter what they say or do.

No, but is your name an oblique reference to Devo? I think Gzeus wanted her "Freedom of Choice," which was really what we all want, which is freedom from negative consequence (that doesn't energize us).

As a neurological minority, I've thought a lot over the years about how the only material difference between Gzeus and her tormentors and oppressors is that they won the game she's always trying to play. She said during Trump's first term that it gave her PTSD; no word on what her behavior ever gave anyone else.

Like, at one point, after going on for some time about how hot she was, she saw one unflattering picture of herself and she freaked out about what a gangly fuck she was and things like this. I, as someone who cared about her despite everything, wanted to tell her that no, you don't have to be hot. The desire to be hot is why you feel like a gangly fuck now. You don't HAVE TO collapse in front of bullshit societal beauty standards.

Probably after googling herself, she talked about how people would praise her for being a badass after she recounted under her well-known username online overdosing on nutmeg and driving, whereas at that time she wanted to characterize it as "a cry for help," not acknowledging that people are constantly trying to help her and she's constantly responding like she did on this board and supposedly their behavior and not her response to it (along with a little mild corporal punishment and being told "no" growing up) gave her PTSD.

Also, for what it's worth, during Trump's first term, Gzeus said that if someone got a blood transfusion from her, they would no longer be able to play Chrono Trigger because she doesn't like it anymore because her relationship with the game was strongly based on her relationship to the character Frog and Frog is tangentially uncomfortable with Flea's gender ambiguity, the game's mastery of the medium notwithstanding. Very important 7-9-year-old update.

Indeed, don't fuck with the Gzeus, because the Gzeus has a long-standing attitude that she's a sort of avenging angel for objective concepts of responsibility and consequences and things. We're all getting older and during the first Trump administration, Gzeus expressed on Twitter that she didn't agree with the general imperative that you have to be kind to the elderly, because what about the possibility they've done something you disagree with during their lifetime? No word on how people are supposed to treat her as she gets older, regardless of whether she's done anything they disagree with.

As an autistic person, Gzeus has difficulty with concepts like social reciprocity. On Twitter during the first Trump administration, she often told people who were mad at her this, but, of course, gave no quarter based on her own understanding of her own deficiencies. Maybe things are different now, I don't know.

She doesn't say, "I've subjectively found in my experience descriptivist grammar is better for me on THESE counts," she just claims to be a moral expert.

So too does she more or less purport racists, misogynists, transphobes, etc. are simply fundamentally fucked-up, morally deficient people you can't do anything to help and who moreover don't deserve help. She does not look inside herself for situations, e.g. on this board, where she, herself, has acted in a similar manner, therefore seeing the fundamental oneness of all humanity. "There's no excuse" for acting against her interests. Under no circumstances is she ever to do social, emotional, intellectual, or physical labor that doesn't immediately, directly benefit her, or at least her side, exclusively.
