I was going to call my 1989 album "The Negro". But I went for "Don't Stop the Night" instead. It still has a hint of negritude about it, don't you think?
By the way (and this isn't a change of subject), here's what Dwarfism.org says about terminology for the vertically-challenged:
"We are first and foremost human beings, it is secondary that we are human beings who are of restricted growth. Use of the word "midget" to describe someone of short stature is considered extremely offensive by some people. It is better to refer to someone of short stature as a "Little Person" or "Dwarf". Also, some people find the term "dwarf" as equally offensive as "midget". If people, both average and short stature, were able to place their humanity before everything else, the world might be a much better place. The more we stick labels on each other, the more we segregate ourselves, and the more we encourage ignorance and prejudice."
They then headline the section immediately following: "Estimated Worldwide Dwarf Population".

Hitchens: Anyone who's studied what's happening in either of those countries now knows that the whole of American policy -- and by the way a lot of your own future, ladies and gentlemen -- is staked on the hope that federal secular democrats can emerge from this terrible combat. We can protect them and offer them help while they do so. We know that they're there, that we are -- I've met them, I love them, they're our friends. Every member of the 82nd Airborne Division could be a snake-handling congregationalist, for all I know, but these men and women, though you sneer and jeer at them, and snigger when you hear applause and excuses for suicide bombers -- and you have to live with the shame of having done that -- these people are guarding you while you sleep, whether you know it or not. And they're also creating space for secularism to emerge, and you better hope that they are successful.
Hedges: I feel like I should be reading Kipling's White Man's Burden.
(audience laughter)
Hitchens: What you mean is you wish you had read it.

MARTIN AMIS: YOU ASK THE QUESTIONS
The phrase "horrorism", which you invented to describe 9/11, is unintentionally hilarious. Have you got any more? JONATHAN BROOKS, by email
MA: Yes, I have. Here's a good one (though I can hardly claim it as my own): the phrase is "fuck off".

Martin Amis, an admirer of the early books, is one of several notable writers who believes that Harris is in the process of destroying his literary reputation; that, as he put it, he has 'gone gay on' Lecter.

No I'm not saying that there's not a wide range in metal...I was saying your examples didn't really stretch very far.
Of course there's a lot of range in metal. Among other things, I listen to Mercyful Fate, Bathory, Celtic Frost, Candlemass, Malignancy, older Dying Fetus, Pain of Salvation, Atheist, (all eras of) Death, Cynic, Symphony X, My Dying Bride, Cathedral, older Ulver, Mayhem (all eras), Immolation, Darkthrone, Blind Guardian, Hypocrisy, Morbid Angel, Thought Industry, thrash-era Sepultura, Annihilator, Nuclear Assault, Black Sabbath, Strapping Young Lad, Cryptopsy, Gorguts, Opeth (pre-Blackwater Park), November's Doom, Helloween, Angra's first two albums, Deicide, Type O Negative, Katatonia, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Cradle of Filth (mostly just Cruelty and the Beast), Bal-Sagoth, Impaled Nazarene, Savatage (all eras), Emperor, Cryptic Slaughter, Immortal, Rage (not against the Machine), Satyricon, Witchery, Sigh, Megadeth, Metallica, Crowbar, Iced Earth, Slayer, Exodus, Kreator, Skyclad, Possessed, Rhapsody (first two albums), W.A.S.P., Amon Amarth, older God Dethroned, Pantera, Exhorder, Fates Warning, Carcass, Fear Factory, Testament, Queensryche, Nile, Meshuggah, Mastodon, Stormtroopers of Death, Soilwork, Cannibal Corpse, Anathema, Sodom, King Diamond, Nevermore, Sanctuary, Coroner, Anthrax, Ocean Machine, Brutal Truth, Krisiun, Diabolical Masquerade.......
