i found From Gardens Where WE Feel Secure online somewhere. I've been trying to find a song that a friend put on a mix tape whose name I can't remember.

o man, so want"No comprehensive collection of audio documents of paranormal phenomena has been published so far. This audio box consists of three CDs. The first contains examples of trance speech, direct voices and clairvoyance. The second CD contains recordings of xenoglossy and glossolalia, including ethnological material. The third CD presents paranormal music, 'rappings', and other poltergeist manifestations as well as so-called 'Electronic Voice Phenomena'. Although 'occult' phenomena are an integral part of cultural history, their 'reality' is discussed controversially. For the recordings collected here, the question was not so much whether such phenomena are 'real' or 'manipulated', illusion or deception, supernatural-otherworldly or simply of human nature. They are rather presented as authentic documents with their particular atmosphere and their characteristic intensity. Our goal was to demonstrate, with a phenomenological overview, the audible diversity and the width in form and content of such phenomena. Some of the audio examples could hardly be categorized because paranormal events admit different interpretations. For instance, when is a poltergeist case a case of possession, or vice versa? Or how clear and reliable is the distinction of xenoglossy and glossolalia? This collection is decisively determined by the availability or sparseness of the material. Only for 'Electronic Voice Phenomena' there is a cornucopia of examples; most other documents, such as the recordings of mediumistic seances before the second world war, are unique rarities." - Andreas Fischer, Thomas Knoefel (from the liner notes). Recordings include "Voices From Possessed Children: Janet (11) and Margaret (13)" (1978), "Minnie Harrison And The Christmas Party Sitting: Sam Speaks Through Trumpet.; Douglas Materialises and Speaks" (1954), trance-breathing from the 1930s, "compositions from the 'other side', received, recorded or played via spiritualist mediums" and a lot more to keep you up at night./

roedelius - selbstportrait vol 2 (complete version, with my vinyl rips of the tracks left off the CD version tagged in where they should be)

thx dude. you don't happen to have vol 4 or 5 do you?
― ☀☃ (am0n), Wednesday, 24 March 2010 03:55 (sixteen years ago)
you have to have 'Wenn Der Sudwind Weht', right? always getting reissued. my listening copy of 'Flieg Vogel Fliege' is a cassette, I'm going to give them another year or two to put it out on CD before I transfer it. it's better than 'Wenn', more straight-up farfisa + delay, less cheesy vibrato on the lead melodies.
always coming back to this stuff
― Milton Parker, Wednesday, 24 March 2010 05:01 (sixteen years ago)
o didn't realize 'wenn' was vol. 4. i only have a couple tracks of 'flieg'

Reprising the Selbstportrait series for the seventh time in 2000, Roedelius composed entirely new tracks for the first time on Selfportrait VII: dem Wind voran - ahead of the wind.
nm, not in a hurry to hear this

hmm looks like bureau b have just reissued iv on vinyl, vi is forthcoming
― teresa banks (r1o natsume), Wednesday, 24 March 2010 22:17 (sixteen years ago)
VI is great. most of it really is just the most simplistic leftovers from the early 70's stuff, a couple of the tracks are just him playing scales into delay but god it all just sounds so good
why'd bureau b have to put a new cover on it? original cover was another shot from the sowiesoso shoot
I hope bureau b gets to reissuing 'Flieg' but my guess is they're only reissuing things that have already been transferred to CD before. those mp3's are pretty good for rips, they sound better than my vinyl copy (old sky vinyl really was just about the worst). playing the last track of 'Flieg' right now + Schooly D's 'Saturday Night'

I don't know if this will hit anyone as deeply as it hits me, but this is one of the most incredible zither albums of all time, never thought I'd find it on a blog but ruth welcome is a 100% legend in my book

Goblin featuring Asha Puthli-- "Squadra Antigangsters" http://www.megaupload.com/?d=U3DWFU7P
I'm kind of hard-pressed to actually recommend this but if "Disco Goblin + Asha Puthli" piques your interest it's at least of historical value
