Pineapple and ham/Canadian bacon on pizza is trailer-park based philistinism.

Oh, honestly Jess, ever since you discovered the straw man concept life's just one big yellow brick road for you. If you only had a brain you'd surrender, Dorothy.

Well, the reason I "keep on posting about this" is because when I saw a preview screening of Hated (with Phillips in attendance) the ONLY shot that elicited genuine shock from the markedly "avant" audience was that one. They greeted everything else with yuks and ews. But that show generated a lower toned "ohhhhhh" like a bunch of blue-haired biddies with their sense of propriety rocked.

So don't kid yourself that it had anything to do with Allin being passed out. They were appalled because they were seeing a man with a dick in his mouth. A crack whore pissing in Allin's mouth while he barfs up hot dogs? That's good times. But m2m fellatio? This will not stand!

And I suspect the same thing is happening here.

But gee, sorry to take up your precious time with it.

I read about GG on wikipedia today and I'm rather highly ashamed I know more trivia about him than I do about, well, any other random fucking person ever born, as in "I know about 0 facts about some random person from oklahoma" vs "I know a couple of things about GG Allin" = is there a bullet in that gun can I put it in my mouth

I am really disappointed this thread title wasn't literal. I've dropped 50 lb. bricks of lard onto tile floors before and it makes the most fascinating SCHLOPPPP sound. So I thought, 'Wow, this will be a great description! Three-HUNDRED pounds of lard, hurled with enough velocity to hit a wall. That sound's gotta be EPIC!"

Milo, just out of curiosity, did you get some memo about any of my personal or professional experience with which to fashion what are baseless, ad-hominem attacks? I'm disappointed because you're normally on the level. Living in London doesn't make me any less of an American - in fact, I'm the go-to girl for mates who want to know USA WTF? the way people ask clumsy race questions of each other, so empathy is there, as it should be for all of us, somehow. As to my background, I'm proud of that, not least because I can read my great x 5 grandfather's correspondence with Washington, who engaged him as a spy, in the Library Of fucking Congress, so don't go hurling me into your cracker barrel just because you're butthurt. It's just...boring and beneath me. That's the end of my criticism, please notice I didn't call you names to offer it.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Wednesday, 30 April 2008 16:52 (eighteen years ago)

I'd rather post a thousand words than picture. They both deliver equal value, y'know, according to Conventional Wisdom.

For those who want to know, I have very fine ears. They lie close to my head instead of sticking out, and have a pleasing size and nicely whorly configuration.

My hair is very fine. As fine as frog's hair you might say. Brown. It's thinning a lot on top now. Between the scarcity and the fineness of the hair on the top of my head, it seems quite rare and exquisite. My scalp, which is no longer concealed, is non-descript, unless you count "vaguely pinkish" as a description worthy of the name.

My skull is on the small side. My hat size (now anachronistic in the age of the unhatted or one-size-fits-all) is 6-7/8".

My eyes are brown with flecks of green. My eyelashes are sparse. My lips are thinnish and not impressive. My nose is thin and handsome. My cheekbones are not prominent. My face is symmetrical in the main, but not perfectly so.

I have acquired furrows of worry and laughter in my face and brow. They are not yet so pronounced as to never disappear, even when I am relaxed. Soon, though, soon.

I will add to this if public demand for more details waxes. If not, rest content.

ok its actually a myth but um imagine it isn't (or that we're dealing with the actual most venomous/poisonous insect in the world here).

if you squished this insect into a mush and added water so it was liquid and injected it into a person's vein would the poison kill them, or would you need about 1000000 of these insects to get anywhere near? what if you ate this insect?

I think Alfred's post is pretty hilarious, actually. The conflation of the characters in Sex in the City and Golden Girls spells immediate victory such that one doesn't even need to get to the "strawberry piss" line in order to achieve pure read 'em and lol satisfaction.

All my life, I've heard this as "take care of TCB," which really annoyed me for its redundancy (how do you "take care of taking care of business"??) -- sort of like "ATM machine," but even worse than that. It's a totally clunky line. It might even be the main reason I've never liked the song very much.

Pretty good EP from a lady from Tennessee, though the best part of it might be the Bohannon/DJ Hollywood style proto-raps done by some guy at the start and end of her "Southern Soul Picnic," which is my favorite of the three songs even if "bring your own BYOB" is a redundant line (sort of like "ATM machine").
