I think Morbs is just predisposed against movies that attract "fanboys," which you could say is true for both Tarantino and Apatow. (And probably James Cameron.) But the very phenomenon -- call it the Ain't It Cool News-ification of film appreciation -- gets him so het up he can't help but rant about it wherever possible, including on threads devoted to such movies.

i dunno what this makes me but the more i read morbs on film the more i agree with him (with a few decent-sized exceptions)

if UP IN THE AIR takes Best Screenplay over this it's a crime

They are in different categories; UitA is adapted from a novel. This is "original," and would lose to the oh-so "original" Quentin Tarantino if it was nominated, which it won't be.
