I don't know anyone that's heard Toulouse's New Points, New Lines, but I have it and love it. I've read about two people on ilX who were searching for it, but I don't know if they ever acquired it. I can't find The Way the City Stretches at all, though...

i'm not good at ranking "favorite" albums, but i'd say my #1 of the year (so far) is six organs of admittance—really great album, subtle, beautiful, fantastic expressive acoustic guitar work and of course a massive 12-minute saz drone—wrote about it here

guess i meant even though i do rank albums (clearly!), i also feel like it's a futile exercise to say "this album x is one that i prefer to this album y which is totally unrelated and in a different sphere or genre of music entirely"

One of the odder but more enjoyable situations I've been in was when a very open lesbian and myself went to a Cure show back in 1992 and proceeded to spend a couple of hours beforehand judging the general fuckability of female members of the crowd. If anything, she was more blatant than I was!

i dont get why ppl argue w/ geir! he's pretty harmless, never retaliates in arguments, generally seems quite jovial, and despite shit taste in lots of music, dude knows his 80s new wave and synth pop v well
