'you' vs. 'radio gnome invisible 3' FITE (ex machina), Thursday, 1 December 2005 17:44 (eighteen years ago) link

Yeah, but most thread "mutations" don't consist of some retard repeatedly posting 1,000,000 variations on "lol @ fags".

He didn't last long here, did he?

Pashmina (Pashmina), Thursday, 1 December 2005 17:47 (eighteen years ago) link

i only delete the marissa threads because they bug me for some reason

dabnis coleman's ghost (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 1 December 2005 17:49 (eighteen years ago) link

Actually, it just occured to me that if mariesa were to record a sensitive, acoustic piano-accompanied version of "my humps", that would fucking rock. Well, maybe.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Thursday, 1 December 2005 17:49 (eighteen years ago) link

SAVE THIS THREAD FORVER!!

i AM STILL REQUESTING THAT THEY DELETE THIS ONE...I DON'T ANYTHING UNDER MY NAME HERE...IF I DON'T WANT THIS TO SHOW UP UNDER GOOGLE SEARCH WHY CAN'T THEY BE NICE ENOUGH TO DELETE THIS ONE? BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY MEAN PEOPLE...
AND IT HURTS ME TO KNOW THAT PEOPLE DO THINGS ON PURPOSE TO HURT PEOPLE....
IF I WRITE SOMEONE A LETTER AND REQUEST A DELETION THEY SHOULD BE RESPECTFUL OF ARTISTS WISHES...
OR PEOPEL IN GENERAL. WHY DO THEY HAVE MODERATION REQUESTS IF THEY IGNORE MY REQUESTS???

IT IS SAD THAT i AM TREATED SO POORLY MY OTHER MUSICIANS AND PEOPLE ON THE NET..IGNORING ME...LIKE i AM A PIECE OF CRAP....
i AM BEING TREATED LIKE CRAP./...

What annoyed mne about them before was this distinct air of people deriving their amusement from prodding the mentally ill. But, WTF, you know. She doesn't bother me much, apart from the using ilm as her blog thing. Oh yeah, half the time, I'm sure it's people spoofing her as well.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Thursday, 1 December 2005 17:52 (eighteen years ago) link

kind of pathetic, really. she needs a hug.

ps. what does her music sound like?

Special Agent Dale Koopa (orion), Thursday, 1 December 2005 17:52 (eighteen years ago) link

haha which thread is that?

dabnis coleman's ghost (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 1 December 2005 17:52 (eighteen years ago) link

The locked Marissa thread on ILM near the top!

"i WILL CHANGE MY STAGE NAME AGAIN..AND YOU WON'T GET THE NEW ONE..THIS TIME..."

'you' vs. 'radio gnome invisible 3' FITE (ex machina), Thursday, 1 December 2005 17:56 (eighteen years ago) link

(x-post) Kind of Tori Amos-ish IIRC. But better (or not as bad, perhaps) I did have a couple of her mp3s on the computer, before she became such a nuisance. I thought they were OK, apart from this one where she sang 1/2 step flat for the whole song for some reason. That one was excruciating.

Good old Google, eh. Good old Google. Look what it brings us.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Thursday, 1 December 2005 17:57 (eighteen years ago) link

She genuinely appears not to have noticed that her caps lock is on!

"shut up cunt" haha wtf jess.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Thursday, 1 December 2005 18:03 (eighteen years ago) link

haha sorry

dabnis coleman's ghost (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 1 December 2005 18:05 (eighteen years ago) link

John Justen (johnjusten), Saturday, 3 December 2005 09:07 (eighteen years ago) link

three weeks pass...
He's a pain. He has actually derailed a couple of threads on ILM, which is fucking out of order.

I'm only giving what the public wants. And that doesn't excuse you from being a dumb delete-happy cunt.

(I feel stupid posting this, but here we go. I've had black friends since I was a teen. A lot of my neighbors are black, so I meet black persons every day. I have no idea why this is something that needs to be proven though.)

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 19 January 2006 07:32 (eighteen years ago) link

ive never met any black people!!

Yawn (Wintermute), Thursday, 19 January 2006 09:16 (eighteen years ago) link

no wait, my aunt is black. i have met 1 (one) black person!!

Yawn (Wintermute), Thursday, 19 January 2006 09:18 (eighteen years ago) link

The black population in here (and in Norway, I think) is much smaller than in the US, and it's mostly in the big cities. If I lived in a smaller town, it's quite possible I'd never have known someone black. Would that make me a bad person?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 19 January 2006 09:48 (eighteen years ago) link

it seems like it

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 19 January 2006 10:16 (eighteen years ago) link

Tuomas, you know you're supposed to call "black people" African American ,right?

A BOLD QUAHOG (ex machina), Thursday, 19 January 2006 10:58 (eighteen years ago) link

In Finland?

(At the moment the politically correct term in Finnish is "immigrants", since over 90% of people of African descent have come here as refugees or immigrants during the last 15+ years. The term "Afro-Finnish" has been introduced lately, and that might gain popularity in the future, since there already is a second generation of teens who've lived all of their lives here, and shouldn't probably be called "immigrants".)

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 19 January 2006 11:08 (eighteen years ago) link

Of course there are those who say all people with Finnish citizenship should be called merely Finns, but I think that could blur the fact that people of African descent are still being treated inequally due to their perceived "non-Finnishness". I think "black" and "white" are still useful terms when talking about discrimination and inequality, see for example how British people of Asian Descent have adopted the black identity.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 19 January 2006 11:19 (eighteen years ago) link

see for example how British people of Asian Descent have adopted the black identity.
