the art ensemble of chicago house (vahid), Thursday, 14 September 2006 19:25 (nineteen years ago)

I have the emperor machine album from 2004, not sure if you're talking about that one (and is easily avail via 515k)

working pom pom link

Dominique (dleone), Thursday, 14 September 2006 19:27 (nineteen years ago)

dominique, what's pom pom?

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 14 September 2006 19:46 (nineteen years ago)

anonymous out-techno stuff. along electro-krautrock axis, but also pretty hardline minimalist too

Dominique (dleone), Thursday, 14 September 2006 19:51 (nineteen years ago)

sounds good. thanks.

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 14 September 2006 19:52 (nineteen years ago)

Dominique (dleone), Thursday, 14 September 2006 21:42 (nineteen years ago)

i'm missing #2, 11, 13, 15, 20 and 21

the art ensemble of chicago house (vahid), Thursday, 14 September 2006 21:45 (nineteen years ago)

i gotta say i like the glittery motorik techno of late pompom (say, 23A or 26A) much more than the early, clanky steampunk glitch of the early stuff.

the art ensemble of chicago house (vahid), Thursday, 14 September 2006 21:46 (nineteen years ago)

at the moment, my fave is 10 b2, which is maybe the best 2 minutes of music Can never recorded

Dominique (dleone), Thursday, 14 September 2006 21:56 (nineteen years ago)

katie quirk (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 14 September 2006 22:04 (nineteen years ago)

dmr (Renard), Friday, 15 September 2006 03:03 (nineteen years ago)

black cocktease

dmr (Renard), Friday, 15 September 2006 15:35 (nineteen years ago)

sorry yalls my internet connection tops out at 40 kb/s

pompom 1-10: http://www.sendspace.com/file/vziowb

it's missing pompom #2 if anybody's got that

the art ensemble of chicago house (vahid), Friday, 15 September 2006 21:19 (nineteen years ago)

40 kb/s UP, i mean. download is fine. shared wireless connections in rooming houses suck.

pompom #11-22 (sort of) should be up in ... an hour from now??

the idea that the black cock mixes are "underwhelming" is retardulous

the art ensemble of chicago house (vahid), Friday, 15 September 2006 21:56 (nineteen years ago)

i'll tell you what

maybe they're "underwhelming" if you listen to them in ADD thirty-second snippets on your laptop

but i will sequence them into two sets - a 45 minute beardo set and a 45 minute disco set ... then you promise me you will burn them onto CDs and listen to them LOUD, preferably in a large room, on a stereo with good bass response, preferably like a mark levinson amp and preamp and a technics with a fidelity research tone arm with koetsu cartridge and klipschorn speakers and a bozak mixer and we'll see if that doesn't polish your knob

the art ensemble of chicago house (vahid), Friday, 15 September 2006 22:02 (nineteen years ago)

how can you listen to a CD on technics with a fidelity research tone arm with koetsu cartridge

jaxon (jaxon), Friday, 15 September 2006 22:19 (nineteen years ago)

lmao

señor citizen (eman), Friday, 15 September 2006 22:21 (nineteen years ago)

u know what was underwhelming? that wilson cocaine session thing. bleh

jaxon (jaxon), Friday, 15 September 2006 22:58 (nineteen years ago)
