What Is PSE
PSE stands for Psychological Stress Evaluation. It was developed by the US Military in the 1960's an an alternative to the polygraph. It became highly popular since there was no need for direct connection to the subject's body. It became a sort of "remote lie detector" since one could record conversation on a high quality recorder and then later analyzed on a PSE. The technique is based on the recognition of an involuntary voice tremor that can not be heard with the naked ear which is present when on attempts deception or lieing or is under emotional stress. Today, this same type of technology is in digital form and can be obtained in software program costing a small fraction of what these analog machines cost.
