Chaki, besides the Tusk, that's really the worst list i've ever seen in my life

(except i secretly heart the vengaboys)

JaXoN (jaxon), Saturday, 1 October 2005 22:34 (twenty years ago)

Maybe Chaki could explain his list a little.

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Saturday, 1 October 2005 22:52 (twenty years ago)

thats what me and my bros dig on man

huell howser (chaki), Saturday, 1 October 2005 22:56 (twenty years ago)

Cd- Single

ROBBLE ROBBLE!

JaXoN (jaxon), Saturday, 1 October 2005 23:11 (twenty years ago)

Bros, I am listening to Todd Rundgren's Something/Anything right now and does this not kind of kick the pants of Tusk as far as sprawling '70s soft rock double LPs go?

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Sunday, 2 October 2005 00:50 (twenty years ago)

i agree. i was gonna put one of his albums on my list, but i made it at work and didn't have my records in front of me to listen (a wizard a true star might be even better - what with Rock and Roll Pussy)

JaXoN (jaxon), Sunday, 2 October 2005 00:59 (twenty years ago)

funny, I played "I Saw the Light" at my party last night.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Sunday, 2 October 2005 05:50 (twenty years ago)

p.s. it's not a party, it's a dj night,

Ian John50n (orion), Sunday, 2 October 2005 06:35 (twenty years ago)

m coleman (lovebug starski), Sunday, 2 October 2005 12:04 (twenty years ago)

yeah, that line-up totally ruled. so sad it was so short-lived. The Boston Tea Party set is a must for any bro convention. I love Danny Kirwan's songs from that period.

Damn, Skot's list is tops. It puts a bro to shame. My list could have been better, it was all stuff I wrote down off the top of my head while at work. Mirrors of all things! Skot I would totally bro out to "Dr. Music" with you anytime my friend. I never heard No Mean City. I jumped off the gone dead train with Hair of the Dog. I really need to get those later records.

Stormy Davis (diamond), Monday, 3 October 2005 00:04 (twenty years ago)

You guys all have lots of friends who listen to these albums?

Sundar (sundar), Monday, 3 October 2005 00:07 (twenty years ago)

For the most part, yeah! I thought that was the point of the lists, stuff you're most likely to throw on with a broad cross-section of the bros. Certainly not my "top albums of all time" or anything (although some of them are of course.)

hey Sundar I saw System of A Down on Friday! They were totally awesome.

Stormy Davis (diamond), Monday, 3 October 2005 00:11 (twenty years ago)

7. Aqua - Aquarius

No Way! It's gotta be Aquarium!

100% Nice (nordicskilla), Monday, 3 October 2005 01:27 (twenty years ago)

100% Nice (nordicskilla), Monday, 3 October 2005 01:28 (twenty years ago)

You guys all have lots of friends who listen to these albums?

In my case, hell no. I listed some *great* albums that I would put on to entertain a typical assortment of bros who were chilling at my place.

Back in the day, we used to bro out to REM and JSBX because that was the stuff that nobody had an aversion to, unlike 99.5% of what I was listening to. Good luck trying to get a bunch of university-age dudes (or chix) to chill out to techno before 1997.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Monday, 3 October 2005 02:37 (twenty years ago)

see, that would be a good list too. the stuff you force your pals to listen to when yoo iz drunk. that seperates da bros from da foes. (the people who still talk to you after you play aqua at 4 a.m. although for me it would be toybox.)

scott seward (scott seward), Monday, 3 October 2005 02:41 (twenty years ago)

my bros donald & beth came over last nite and i tested their bro-dom with some hobbits, harmonic choir, dion mcgregor, and al alberts singing his ultra-patriotic single "I Am A Sick American". They were down with all of it. They are solid.

Stormy, OTM, with the Boston Tea Party Mac sets. They are solid gold bro-tastic!

Oxbow's mopre gaping anal (BROS)

OTM

Special Agent Dale Koopa (orion), Thursday, 27 October 2005 03:48 (twenty years ago)

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I like the bros, they have better music most of the time (I don't like Zep or Pink Floyd though) but most of em want to find a nice sweet girlfriend who goes off and hangs out with the girls being girly on girls night out.

DAVID BOWIE: STATION TO STATION
GARY NUMAN: TELEKON
PET SHOP BOYS: ACTUALLY

dar1a g (daria g), Thursday, 27 October 2005 03:50 (twenty years ago)
