airwalk has a suede and canvas high top on their website that would be decent if it didn't have this stupid skull print all over it

seems like vision would have some kewl high tops but their website confuses and frightens me

reminds me of the high top purple corduroy vans i wanted to day because even though i knew they'd be crap and die prematurely they were 50% off. alas, my size was out. maybe it's better this way.

vahid, those tenis classics are really nice

yah the tokyo mids are summer/fall only. moving somewhere it snows made me realize that 76% of my shoes are only wearable for half the year at best. i've been pushing my luck with the griptape mid pros and a pair of varvatos for converse one-stars made out of corduroy otherwise all my sneakers are packed away. its just boots all the time U_U

sux to hear about your new nikes - lol was it the sugar canes that left that mark? a have a pair of nudies that does (did?) the same thing to my shoes

yeah it was my sugar cane 47s that did that, even though i bought them one wash they've been washed 3 or 4 times since then

does the griptape mid actually have griptape on it or is it just a color thing?

those griptapes are tight but i wish they hadn't done purple laces and inner. i guess you could always get grey or black SB laces.

the sizing's kinda fucked. they don't have half sizes so i'm wearing them half a size too small :(. so many sick styles but only the laceup ones i could get over my foot.

@ mj2b - the purple is a little more muted irl more gray than purple its "graphite" according to google. they also came with white laces which ruin the look imo

@ jaxon - do you have any common projects? thats what i thought those might have been. i kind of want the black hi-tops but i always get annoyed by them at the store and get something else

man that desert boot construction (silhouette? i dont know what to call it) is showing up everywhere

common projects are so ridiculously overpriced though

thats a big part of the reason that i havent bought them yet and, tbh, i like the look of the zuriick's that jaxon posted just as much as the cp achilles. also i dont want to like look those ultralame guyz in my hood in band of outsiders topsiders. fuck them.

i've been looking for a nice dress shoe for almost 2 years now and kept flip flopping on the opening ceremony (the ones upthread i got) and the common projects. they both have that wooden sole and i wasn't sure they'd go w/suits, but they look great w/jeans and suits and i'm sure the more i wear them the darker the wood will get. wifee found the opening ceremonies online at some sweedish site for almost half what they were in the store and no shipping so i was super stoked

also really liked Fiorentini + Baker and Rachel Comeys
