What's the deal with the Dream Chimney track of the day going away? Is it really gone, or did they just make it secret? Is it ever coming back?
― Dan I., Saturday, 14 November 2009 11:56 (sixteen years ago)
Oh, it got threatened by ASCAP. If any of you know of the replacement when/if it comes, let me know about it will you?
― Dan I., Saturday, 14 November 2009 12:03 (sixteen years ago)
i chatted w/a bunch members about it last night. everyone's just as confused. i guess they told ryan/beatbroker that he owes them royalties. he asked them for what and they didn't know.
i think if anything they should just get rid of the downloads and leave the archives up. that was a huge reference for me to check when i was out record shopping.
― jaxon, Saturday, 14 November 2009 19:35 (sixteen years ago)
wishing http://thankscity.com/jams/ had an index file
― Dan I., Saturday, 14 November 2009 21:51 (sixteen years ago)
i had the dream chimney podcast connection, so every track of the day was automatically downloaded. Same with Bumrocks and Lovefingers, but I couldn't keep up with them and at some point they stopped. I recently selected all of them and made iTunes not see them as podcasts, so in one swoop like several thousand songs with messed up IDs all transferred to my main library. Main frustration is w/ Lovefingers, who posted tracks with song title Fingertrack 56 or whatever!
― dan selzer, Saturday, 14 November 2009 22:59 (sixteen years ago)
That is a fucking bummer. At least they were consistent in what they did though, unlike a ton of blogs that put stuff up with wrong/bad/inconsistent labelling.
― Disco Stfu (Raw Patrick), Saturday, 14 November 2009 23:06 (sixteen years ago)
who posted tracks with song title Fingertrack 56 or whatever
yeah that was goofy since the real titles were on the web page anyway. I always retyped them with the real title but I was getting em one at a time, not as a podcast
― dmr, Saturday, 14 November 2009 23:46 (sixteen years ago)
yeah, I don't blame him, I totally respect anybody who figures why not fuck around with this? So long as it's consistent it's kind of funny. Don't even start me on blogs that re-post shit that's all tagged wrong and differently and still get high-and-mighty about what a great service they're doing to mankind.

ok dudes, didn't even know this existed, but Bobby Brown's (of enlightening beam of axonda) 3rd album. first song and it's tweaked. upbeat, dancey drums, bird noises, that weird guitar scrapey thing he does. sounds like he's doing old 50s pop songs.
