I'm setting up a Patreon page to allow me to keep control and ownership of my new original adult animated series. Your support will go toward producing animatics and a trailer which are needed for getting a studio or network to commit. I'm also starting a new series of short-form viral animated videos which I'll be putting on Instagram and Youtube.
Members will have access to previously unreleased production materials to past projects, including Aeon Flux, Reign the Conqueror, Rugrats, Animatrix, Transformers, Firebreather, TNMT, Victor and Valentino, Phantom 2040, Tomb Raider Revisioned, Riddick- Dark Fury, C.O.P.S., freelance jobs and commercials. Also exclusive peeks into current and unmade projects. Members can also receive T-shirts and original sketches.
I plan to offer a version of my USC masterlass on directing for high-tier members, which will include personalized reviews and critiques. I can also invite professional colleagues for guest interviews and live Q&A sessions.
I'm interested in hearing any suggestions or requests.

Have you considered TikTok? There's a lot of cool stuff there. I think the short-form format makes a lot of sense for animation.

Yes, I'll be on Tik Tok for sure. Back during the Liquid Television days, MTV needed the segments to be short, and the first episodes of Aeon were 2 minutes. Today, a 2 minute video is too long to go viral. My challenge to myself is to compress a movie into 10 to 15 seconds. The opening to Victor and Valentino is basically that.

Would a Kickstarter/Indiegogo make sense for a bigger burst of funds to get the animated series off the ground? I don't know how much money you'll need in the end, but I do think there's a reasonable chance you could raise a bunch (in the millions, but certainly well into the 6 figures if not) on your name recognition/nostalgia/Aeon Flux and the press the funding drive could generate.
For Patreon, podcasts are one of the most popular usages. You could do episode-by-episode deep dives on AF and other creations, general art critique, interviews with other people involved, Q&As, etc.
I would also be down for just essays, videos, or whatever else. Maybe for some higher tiers we get to pick a topic once in a while.

I'm reluctant to run a Kickstarter campaign for a number of reasons. I've seen them succeed in raising funds, then fail in delivering promised projects and premiums and the creator ends up worse off in the end. The Patreon is not intended to fund my project, but only to provide support so I don't have to keep taking on outside jobs. Looking at popular Patreon creators, you are correct that podcasts are very attractive for members. I am in fact planning a podcast with a co-host to cover a wide range of topics. I hope to have live Discord chats as well, but it's all new to me, so it's taking a bit of work to figure this stuff out.
