I have recently sold another original series to a major TV network. It has taken so long because there simply hasn't been any venue interested in doing original adult animated drama until recently.
I am only in development, but this is now happening with network support. This project is not related to Aeon Flux, it is all new material. Sorry I can't say much more for now.

I had earlier mentioned I was working on a family targeted feature. That project, for which I wrote the story, was being planned for pre-production this year, but got postponed for arcane political reasons. It is on hold for now, but may resume later. So many times in this business, a project will get written, designs created, money is spent, then it doesn't get made.

Great to hear, congratulations! Keep us posted and let us know if we can secretly preview anything.

I cannot wait to learn more about this new series. I'm already sold on "adult animated drama." Congratulations!

Awesome news!
Peter, I remember years ago you often mentioned a project you were working on independently. In one interview you gave the impression it would be quite a different sort of thing.
Is this still in the works?

The new show incorporates ideas and characters I've been contemplating for a while. I think I've managed to crack the problem of how to bring them together in an accessible, commercially viable product. It's an ambitious project, on a large scale, and I did not want it to suffer the kinds of compromises that (I regret) caused Aeon Flux to sometimes fall short.

Update:I've been plugging away at this full force lately. I am liking the way it is taking shape, and initial signs are encouraging. It is such a huge undertaking, that it took many months to sort out how to organize the narrative and characters.
I'm hopeful that I will be able to offer more details soon.

Great news Peter, thanks for your updates. I haven't been posting here much in recent years, but I just wanted you to know that I still regularly read this board (as I have now for... wow... 23 years?) and I appreciate your presence here.

Awesome.
Hi Matt. Still seeing prominent greenspun board posters like your self is really cool for me.
I've been around since high school - about 16 years ago.
Getting into the original AF discussions back then had a much deeper impact than any of my school work. It was a big deal for me. I'm super grateful.
And so this unique connection continues. And new work from Peter to come. Awesome.

That is awesome. Can you give us some vague idea of what a production timeline looks like?

It's impossible to say how long. But there is a lot more time and work involved than most people realize.
