There are many songs I haven't listened to, so 'what the hell is this shit', I guess?

Outside of the hip-hop, R&B, Janes Addiction and Groove is in the Heart, there is literally nothing on that list remotely in my wheelhouse, and only a few other songs I have even heard. I remember the Jesus Jones song and it's fine, and Can't Fight This Feeling is good I guess.

How does this thing work exactly? Does one have to have been using Spotify for some time I mean clearly it didnt exist in the 90s so whats it working this out from? I dont listen to anything like what I did in my 20s.

my time capsule is weird as fuck with no discernible theme or connection to any particular era & the songs range in release date from 1980 to 2012

For whatever reason, Front 242 and Sonz weren't on the cheesy dance compilations that I could find in the racks in Alabama while I was discovering myself at 16. FSOL was though, what's up with that?

More than half of my Time Capsule are songs that I've got on a playlist from the 1989-1991 era. By the time the fifth or sixth song from that rolled around, I thought, Well hell, I could just play that playlist if I wanted to.

I'm not sure how the algorithm works but I think it infers from your birthdate and current listening habits, along with songs from that era that you currently play.
