It happens to the best of us sometimes: we reach a point in the game where we just don't know how to go on. On this thread, post your dilemmas and our friendly Dungeonmaster or one of the other members of the Player's Club will ILXmail you off board with a solution. In that way, this thread can stay spoiler-free. Again, questions only in here; if you can help, hit the person with the problem via ILX mail with the solution.

So what's your problem?

Proper tech supprt question, rather than just a tip request: where is the GOG version of this game storing my save files? I want to be able to flip between my desktop and laptop, but can't find the files to copy them over...

I'm not using the GOG version, but assuming it's the same as the retail version, they should be in the Fallout game directory/data/SAVEGAME/Slot(1-10).

Ah, I figured it out, Vista refuses to let applications write to any subfolder of "program files", so instead it was hiding my savegames away in a virtual folder.

So if I want to play it through Gametap, the download is 500+ MB -- can I burn it to a CD and play off of that?

no, you have to play it through the gametap client each time too - kinda sux
