Is she semi- well known? I feel more comfortable asking here than on the ILM threads. I think I've been getting her mixed up with Natalie Merchant, just a name.

I don't think she's that well-known off the internet. Her fame spread across the interweb when she put this hardass statement on her site w/r/t how most big label acts were whores, and her music was ART, thus her CDs were something like 500 bucks apiece.

Personally speaking, I think she's good, very talented, and I do find some of the snidey comments pointed at her a bit knobheadish, but when did that ever stop anybody.

She's not super great, but I do like some of her songs greatly.

She's quite clearly talented, but then so are many people, signed and unsigned.

She's actually guite good looking, judging from the video clips.

(She can't actually find this page, right?)

Marissa Marchant doesn't sound as great in the recordings because no one helps her I suppose. but considering Marissa does it all by herself and produces it, I think she is Super great!
You can't name anyone who could do what she is doing can you? Her music is complex.
There aren't many people out there who I can name who do what she is doing.
She is gone. Marissa Marchant is not on the internet anymore.

they know that Marissa should have been signed to a major label and they are insecure because their artists don't have talent.
they are being paid to undermine and insult real artists on the net to protect untalented people who can't sing or write music well.
