Zing problems

It would be great if the formatting for bold could be changed, so that doesn’t happen… just a request!

You can tap on the individual posts to read them as formatted, when you see that happening

I assume a known issue(?) – long-pressing an image and selecting “Save to phone” crashes the app (without saving the image).

I still can't view Guardian articles in Zing on my iPhone 11 Pro because the cookie acceptance button is not accessible. Screenshots from top and bottom of scrollable cookie splash below. Can't click on sign-in link either

Just found a workaround that is semi-permanent (rather than forcing open in external browser each time): if I tap on the partners list I can accept all cookies from that screen and now my cookie seems to be set.

sometimes you can access a little sliver of a cookie-acceptance button if you rotate the orientation of your screen. this comes up periodically with different links. honestly what i would really love in zing is a setting where i can set links to default open outside of zing in an app instead (web browser, youtube, whatever). not tech savvy so no idea if that's an easy thing to do but seems like it might be?

OK this is double-fixed in the new version - links open in a proper browser view inside Zing (so no cover-up of cookies settings), and there's a preference setting to always open them in your system browser. In testing now, should be released soon

Think upthread it was noted that it went away but will be back at some future point, hopefully soon

You can still get to the full composer by going into an individual post and hitting the reply button. (If you clear the quoted text it’s literally the old composer). But yes, better option coming soon.

Sounds like a user error.

So the new US economy thread that ends with % won’t load anymore for me, and when I search for threads or answers with % as the only character I get zero results. Interesting.

I have solved this problem with the engine by turning up the radio (changing the thread title)

hi thread, I broke Zing somehow? running an older iphone but with updated current OS.

when I download it from the app store and open it, nothing happens.

any ideas?
