I’m getting a corrupt-messages-in-this-thread message in Zing for the Romania thread. Browser is fine though.

Same thing in the Kelela - Cut 4 Me thread. Someone posted a Soundcloud link just now, but I seem to remember there being a problem with this thread before.

this isn’t a problem but would it be possible to specify which browser users can open if they want to launch links outside the app?

I can haz dark mode triggered by iOS “night mode” activation(?)

Can you add the newish board Je Déteste Tout to zing? It doesn't show up as in "show all boards" and its threads only appear on zing if I have them bookmarked.

Zing has given up on French as of Sund4r’s post of an hour ago - « Nous voilà enfin débarrassés de tous ces amateurs » can only be opened in Safari now.

the font size is different in posts and reading threads, but is fine on post subjects and board listings etc. Should I reinstall?

It looks like attempting to vote in a poll makes the app crash, fyi. Could just be my phone but that's the first time I've had the app turf out and it did each time I tried.

Sometimes I type something and then highlight it (to apply italics or a link), and all the text disappears?

Having a new issue: if I type until I reach the bottom of the window, it doesn’t “scroll,” and I can no longer see what I’m typing (the text disappears beneath the keyboard).

Other than not be so long-winded, any fix for this? Thx!

Hate it when that happens, especially when I accidentally do the swipe & erase. Sometimes I can switch to landscape mode, although last time I tried that zing died.

I am not entirely on board with zing now intuiting how to format text between slashes or text between asterisks

My opinion is that displaying format according to bbcode is fine but automatically converting non-bbcode “formatting” is trying too hard

stet, the bookmarks are still a bit out of order... am i correct in thinking they should be ordered by date post was first created? I'm regularly getting a few shuffling in at the bottom from 2020. Not a problem by any means but wondering what that means in terms of the code.

so this is an ilx issue but it seems like youtube doesn't embed unless it's https... any reason not to alter to embed http links as well? I think this is a new thing.

I have solved this problem with the engine by turning up the radio (changing the thread title)

hi thread, I broke Zing somehow? running an older iphone but with updated current OS.

when I download it from the app store and open it, nothing happens.

any ideas?

When you say nothing happens, what do you mean? Do you see the little hat, get the account login screen, or does it just go straight back to the icons screen?

straight back, the 3rd thing - it's like nothing happened and the phone returns to normal

Can you tell me which iPhone model and OS?

what's almost certainly happened is I've done something in the last release that uses something from iOS 16 or later. I'll try and track down exactly what, but Apple doesn't make it easy to support phones that old, I'm sorry
