Any opinions on his books?

I just found out that the old Dreams, Fantasies and Nightmares from Far Away Lands which covered Auystralia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada and Latin America has been split into two volumes prior to expansion.
A Melange Of Musical Pipedreams And Pandemonium which covers Australia, New Zealand , South Africa and now sub-Saharan African rock as well as Turkey and the Middle East and the forthcoming Potpourri Of Melodies And Mayhem which will cover Canada and Latin America.
& the first of those A Melange Of Musical Pipedreams And Pandemonium is limited to 850 copies which will probably be true of teh other when it arrives.

I don't think I've come across a book by him on mainland Europe or the Far East so wonder if he will ever cover those areas.

So, he's written or compiled or edited a series of increasingly heavy, increasingly comprehensive encyclopaediae of underground rock etc.
Seems to be quite acclaimed though some earlier editions were flawed though may be media moving faster improving things.
Is a home complete without each Revisited edition?

American Amazon's got a bunch, but most are unthinkably expensive; others relatively less so, but doubt I'll ever be that dedicated a collector again.

five years pass...

Has anybody read the punk books? Not had a chanced to peruse them so wonder how good they are. Presumably very similar to the punk/prog ones but a bit later in era covered.
