Re the ferals: Who needs them? Haters may be noisy but after the novelty wears off they quickly become as boring as batshit (look at waboy or shortkeeper or ccc from the old ABC). I'm with REB on this. Especially when there's only about ten of us altogether.

Best team? Lions 2001-2004 (minus the GF) by a long shot.

Best coach? Lethal.
Worst Coach? Spud, Coaster Laidley (half a coach), Tony Shaw

Things I would change if AFL Commissioner - ALL clubs have distinctively different clash strips. Collingwood have black and white at home, have white or green or something else away. Richmond have yellow strip, silver clash jumper etc
- Holding the ball - reward the bloke trying to win the footy
- Ruckman catching the ball and getting tackled instantly - reward the ruckman for his good work or fortune.

Things I would change if AFL Commissioner - ALL clubs have distinctively different clash strips. Lions will be unveiling their new alternate strip this year it looks great and quite distinctive. It also has a bloody big Lion on it!

No Salary Cap Consessions for any team or a Concession for every team who has a %of out of state players.

But good footy talk and discussion is what I crave. Some outrageous opinions that we can pile the carp on are most welcome.

Best ever seen - Polly Farmer by two country miles - and not because he is a Groper, just the best. Big wraps for Plugger, Hird, Voss,Ablett, Lethal and Dean Kemp.

Best team - would like it to be Eagles early 90's but must concede and nominate Brisbane for last few years.

Entertainers would have to include the Krakouers, Crackers and a huge laugh from Wacko Jacko.

Most overrated - Nick Stevens, Anthony Banik and Richard Lounder. John Hutton figures in there somewhere.

Biggest mistake - Dockers taking Chris Groom over Andy McLeod

Biggest blight on the game today - 1. Ch 9 and the perception that by endless replays of an incident it can influence a decision.
2. Umpiring standards at an all time low in spite of an all time record number of people officiating. The days when an umpire learnt his craft umpiring in the bush and then through the grades are gone and now we have umpires of a young age with limited experience making the Michael Avon type decisions from last week. Their lack of consistency is appalling.

What I would change if an AFL Commissioner - The AFL CEO!!!

Things I would change if AFL Commissioner ... only one field umpire (make them earn their money and we would see some consistency across the park for a change).

REB, I agree with the netball call. A week for Judd for smacking the pr*ck Baker in the head? Umps should have given him 3 votes instead.

Biggest Issue - f*cking taggers. Anyone doing that whole play the man not the ball should expect at least one elbow in the head, per round.

TV coverage in Southern NSW and ACT is great - if you have Fox. Friday night footy is shown at the same time as Melbourne on Main Event 955 - at no extra cost. Noone knows about it, but it makes the $15 a week Fox costs me worth it over winter....
