Evan complied, but he wanted a reward for his discipline. He no longer wanted to drive the Escalade. Instead, he wanted a new BMW 550i, which had a sticker price of $75,000.

He laid out his case in a letter to his father on Feb. 12, 2008. He began by thanking his father for working so hard to afford "such an amazing lifestyle," assuring him that he understood how privileged they were. "We live in a bubble," Evan wrote.

He went on to propose that he limit his spending on clothes, food, entertainment and transportation to $2,000 per month — but went on to ask for a $2,000 emergency fund because "my life is full of unforeseen expenses."

Then he turned to the topic of the car. Because he was doing more driving in the city, he argued, he needed a more fuel-efficient vehicle. He also stressed that he had decided not to make other purchases — like art for the house and a trip — in order to afford the BMW.

"Cars bring me sheer joy," he wrote. "I would really appreciate you validating me and all of my hard work by leasing the BMW. ... Boys attach so much value to cars, and it feels so nice to pull up next to all the rich, arrogant assholes at Crossroads and know that I can still drive a car just as nice as theirs but I didn't sell out and compromise my integrity. I have overcome a lot of difficult obstacles in my childhood (this past year included) and it feels really nice to have you and Mom acknowledge my success."

Evan's mother was in favor of getting the car, but John Spiegel was unmoved. He believed that its 360-horsepower engine made it unsafe for a 17-year-old boy. He also thought it was an unwarranted extravagance.

20. Glenn Lee Beck was born in Everett, Washington, the son of Mary Clara (née Janssen) and William Beck, who lived in Mountlake Terrace, Washington, at the time of their son's birth.[20] The family later moved to Mount Vernon, Washington,[21] where they owned and operated City Bakery in the downtown area.[21] He is descended from German immigrants who came to the United States in the 19th century.[22] Beck was raised as a Roman Catholic and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Mount Vernon.

As he later recounted in his books and stage performances, Beck's first attempt at self-education involved reading the work of six wide-ranging authors, constituting what Beck jokingly calls "the library of a serial killer": Alan Dershowitz, Pope John Paul II, Adolf Hitler, Billy Graham, Carl Sagan, and Friedrich Nietzsche.[35] During this time, Beck's Mormon friend and former radio partner Pat Gray argued in favor of the "comprehensive worldview" offered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, an offer that Beck rejected until a few years later.[33]

22 Charles Pfizer (March 22, 1824 in Ludwigsburg as Karl Pfizer – October 19, 1906) was a German chemist who migrated to the United States in the early 1840s and founded, with his cousin Charles F. Erhart, the Pfizer Inc. pharmaceutical company in 1849 as Charles Pfizer & Co. He remained at its head until 1900, when the company was incorporated and Charles Pfizer, Jr. became its first president. When Charles Jr. retired, his brother Emil succeeded him in his post.

He made frequent trips to Europe, and met his wife Anna Hausch, whom he married in 1859, in his hometown of Ludwigsburg. They had five children: Ann Pfizer ( - 1876), Charles Jr (1860-1928), Gustavus Pfizer (1861 - 1944), Emile Pfizer (1866 - 1941) and Alice Bachofen Pfizer von Echt (1876 - 1959).

He died at his summer home, Lindgate, in Newport, Rhode Island; his year-round home was in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. His death came a few weeks after a fall down stairs in which he broke an arm and was otherwise badly injured. Two daughters, Alice, Baroness Bachofen von Echt and Mrs. Frederick Duncan of Vienna, were with him when he died.

23 Johann Gottlieb Friedrich "Frederick" Pabst (March 28, 1836 – January 1, 1904) was a German-American brewer who founded the Pabst Brewing Company.

The brewing company's renowned "Blue Ribbon" label was introduced in the 1890s. The beer never actually won a blue ribbon. During some festivals (i.e. World's Fair in Chicago), Pabst placed a blue ribbon around his Best beer (named after founder Phillip Best) so it would stand out among the others. People would start identifying the beer as the Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Instead of correcting the public, Pabst just wisely renamed it.

He was known as "Chef Tell" to his 40 million Baby Boomer fans.[1][dead link] He is widely regarded as one of the first chefs to enjoy widespread popularity on American television. Former Philadelphia Inquirer food writer, Elaine Tait, wrote, "Chef Tell is America's pioneer TV showman chef whose food always tastes good." Erhardt's thick German accent reportedly made him the inspiration for the Swedish Chef, a well known Muppet character on The Muppet Show,[1] although this is denied by Brian Henson.

28 - The German-American volk then living in 1917-41

This is an excerpt from Mitchell Heisman’s Suicide Note.

Kevin Phillips concluded that the Germans:

were the final losers of the cousins’ wars…[o]ne can only
surmise how different the industrial and military outcomes
of the twentieth century could have been had the 25-30
million German-Americans of 1917 or 1941 still remained in
Europe or had they controlled a German-flavored Upper
Mississippi Valley Confederation created in an 1860s
breakup of the previous United States. The deutschmark,
not the pound sterling and then the dollar, could have been
the lead currency of what would not have been the
American Century.

World War Two was fought and decided within the United States. Just as Anglo-Saxons have so often believed that they conquered the Normans by assimilating them, Germans in America were assimilated into the “universalism” of the Anglo-Saxon way of conquest.

The Germans in America eventually became “WASPs”; liberated from duty to a universalized perception of the Norman Yoke, they were brought into an ethos of resentment and hatred against anyone or anything that fit the ethnic stereotype of the Norman conqueror. In its world historical effects, it is as if the Normans had also conquered German-Americans, or even a large area of Germany itself: in adopting the Anglo-Saxon Anti-Normanism, German-Americans came to project this generalized political stereotype even upon their own German fatherland.

Here we have a central confirmation of multiculturalism: American principles, the American language, and American values are not universal, but are the product of a particular Anglo-Saxon historical experience. American universalism is not only the height of Anglo-Saxon ethnocentrism; its universalism constitutes a kind of Anglo-Saxon conquest over all other ethnicities.

Just as the U.S. Civil War effected the domination of the Puritan ethos as the legitimate America, two world wars effected the domination of that culture over the Germans as well. If the U.S. Civil War turned out differently, German-Americans might have won self-determination in an “Upper Mississippi Valley Confederation” to free themselves of the Anglo-Saxon yoke. Remnants of these basic divisions are still visible in the “red state/blue state” divisions between New England and the mid-West.

Image

Germans, the last great survivors of an original Kultur that was destroyed or permanently corrupted among the Anglo-Saxons, were seduced by the promises of freedom and lured into the great American parasite. The freedom that the Anglo-Saxons evolved to free themselves from duty to the Normans had the exactly opposite effect for the Germans: Germans were yoked to the Anglo-Saxon race in times of war and then freed from duty to survival of their own race in times of peace. Just as the Normans made the political rules in old England for the Anglo-Saxons, the Anglo-Saxons made the fundamental political rules for the Germans in America. The Germans’ duty was to conform to them.

When the implications of Anglo-Saxon freedom from the Norman Yoke were universalized, freedom became freedom from all kinship restraints, biological restraints, and, in practice, freedom from a biological interpretation of human things. Freedom implicates any freedom from special preference for another individual on the basis of kinship or race. Duty to kin or race becomes illegitimated, and hence, even the family eventually dissolves.

If, in the case of German nationalism, these claims of duty still thrived and lived, then the cause of individual freedom requires that the source of these claims must be killed. And this is what German-Americans did in the course of two world wars. They killed their not-so-distant relatives in the name of freedom.

When a German-American shot and killed a European German this was the very fulfillment of freedom in the sense the American is proving that he is not partial or prejudiced on the basis of race. What the Germans were actually assimilating to was a specifically Anglo-Saxon adaptation to the formal principles of racial-ethnic defeat. This is how they truly became Anglo-Saxonized, joining the Anglo-Saxon in adapting to ethnic-national defeat. Individual freedom implicates possibilities of racial self-destruction.

German immigration to America was a truly glorious moment in the history of individual freedom. For here, the survivors of a collectivist-ethnic freedom voluntarily gave up their duty to ethnic survival by becoming honorary Anglo-Saxons and assimilated to Anglo-Saxon ethnic defeat as if it were their very own. Usually it takes struggle in bloody war before a people abandons their commitment to their extended kin. Not here.

The creeping death of a universalized Anglo-Saxon ethnic defeat gradually penetrated the cultural blood stream of Germans in America. The seduction of these Germans into the Anglo-Saxons’ universal-death project is one of the most important victories of the Anglo-Saxon universal Anti-Normanism revenge-morality. Just as Anglo-Saxon civilization was victorious over German Kultur in America, it ultimately defeated the homeland of the Germans as well. Between America and Germany, the German nation was divided and conquered.

German-American submission to the Anglo-Saxon way of conquest has made possible a world where Latinos living illegally in the United States have cultural liberties that were denied to German-Americans. German-American obedience to the domination of Anglification has made possible a world where Latinos have taken up their own physical conquest of United States through the multicultural desecration the American cultural values of individualism and the rule of law. German-Americans died in two world wars, not only for the domination of Anglo-Saxon civilization over German Kultur, but for a world in which Hispanics would be rewarded multicultural rights in America that the Germans themselves were denied. For America to preserve its identity in the manner recommended by Samuel Huntington’s Who Are We?, the Anglo-Saxon cultural conquest of the Germans must be preserved.

Illegal immigration is the equivalent of rape: forced penetration without consent. Just as the Normans made their own rape of England legal tender in 1066, globalist elites have legalized the Latino conquest of greater “New England”. The postmodern Mexican invasion is only the completion of the ethnic defeat process that began with the premodern Norman invasion. German-Americans assimilated to the victorious modern principles of Anglo-Saxon ethnic defeat. The Anglo-centric humanism that views “us” as oppressed and “them” as the Norman oppressor was exploited by multiculturalists towards their own ends.

Nations can learn from the world-historical failure of the Germans and recognize the parasitic exploitation strategy behind the rhetoric of freedom, individualism, and human rights. In a world where America’s might is right, the world will at least pay lip service to its formal rules of individual right. However, as America declines, should some nations claim reparations for American parasitism? I would not expect America to be so multicultural or broadminded as to see this point of view. While it may seem hypocritical to trump the moral superiority of individual freedom even as it undermines the biological foundations of other nations, this only confirms the old political maxim that there is no morality between nations.

Yet as the centennial of World War I passes and the 25th anniversary of German unification nears, there are some tender shoots of a renascent German-American identity. A German-American congressional caucus was created in 2010 and now has 93 members. The popularity of craft beer has led to a resurgence in German-style Biergartens, while sports figures like the soccer coach Jürgen Klinsmann and the N.B.A. all-star Dirk Nowitzki celebrate their German identity.

Lord Neb assembled the learned scholars before him, having given word that he would bring with him the finest beverage of that viticultural Eden known as Piedmont. 'Nebbiolo!' they cried. 'Quite,' replied Lord Neb, 'save that I, unlike you, shall live twice, thrice, perchance many more times.' And so it was that he brought forth a bottle of crude grain liquor, to much amusement. Yet Lord Neb did not partake of the merriment, nor did he render unto them any such Nebbiolo. Silence reigned til Lord Neb deigned to enlighten them. 'This, it is said, is the finest illegally distilled bathtub liquor of that region. For your consideration, the Piedmont is a plateau region located in the eastern United States between the Atlantic Coastal Plain and the main Appalachian Mountains, stretching from New Jersey in the north to central Alabama in the south. The Piedmont province is a physiographic province of the larger Appalachian division. The province consists of the Piedmont Upland and Piedmont Lowlands sections. The Atlantic Seaboard fall line marks its eastern boundary with the Coastal Plain. To the west, the Piedmont is mostly bounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, the easternmost range of the main Appalachians. Physiographically, the Piedmont is considered a province of the larger Appalachian Highlands physiographic division. The width of the Piedmont varies, being quite narrow above the Delaware River but nearly 300 miles (475 km) wide in North Carolina. The Piedmont's area is approximately 80,000 square miles (210,000 km2). The name "Piedmont" comes from the French term for the same physical region, literally meaning "foothill", ultimately from Latin "pedemontium", meaning "the foot of the mountains". The region is named after the Italian region of Piedmont, the lowlands which abut the Alps.'

one month passes...

During the embryonic days of the campaign — way back when Trump was still known more for televised business deals than anything-goes bombast — Matthew Heimbach was like many conservative voters: uninterested in Trump.

But six months later, the 24-year-old said he finds himself caught in an all-powerful Trumpian tractor beam.

“It’s exciting to see, and I didn’t expect it,” Heimbach told The Post.

How did that happen, exactly?

The same way it has for millions of other conservatives, who have been drawn to the candidate’s outspoken and seemingly unscripted rhetoric aimed at working-class voters already seething about poor economic prospects, the “menace” of illegal immigration and the persistent threat of violent crime.

And yet, Heimbach is no ordinary conservative.

He’s an influential and avowed white nationalist, a divisive and radical outsider who gave up on mainstream politicians years ago. As a polarizing student at Towson University, Heimbach made headlines by unsuccessfully attempting to establish a White Student Union and leading controversial night patrols to combat a so-called “black crime wave,” according to the SPLC, which monitors hate speech.

“When the Jews are strong, the Jewish people engage their supposed foes with cold-blooded cruelty. This is why we must understand a unity between those who struggle against the Zionist State and International Jewry here in the West and those on the streets of Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon. We face the exact same enemy, one who doesn’t care if they kill our women, children, and elderly. We are facing a truly Satanic enemy, one that cannot be understood except through the lens of Christianity and Christian prophecy.”

Gideon was hesitant to speak about the incident but admitted to the act in an interview with a detective.

In the officer’s report, he wrote, “Sometime before noon on September 1, Swartzentruber was working in a Neillsville barn when he encountered a female donkey and briefly had sex with it. He said that he kind of touched the donkey and was playing around being crazy.”

Swartzentruber told cops he was “horny” and decided to lure the donkey from its normal area in the barn to a secluded location so he could get behind it and have sex for “not more than a minute.”

The Donner und Blitzen River is a river on the eastern Oregon high desert which drains a relatively arid basin, the southern portion of Harney Basin, from roughly 20 to 80 miles (30 to 130 km) south-southeast of Burns including Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Though much of its course is marsh, it offers scenic glaciated canyons, unique ecosystems, and exceptional wild trout fisheries.[7] Named by soldiers of German origin, the Donner und Blitzen River translates as "thunder and lightning". The name brings to mind two of Santa Claus's reindeer,[8] but the river is named for a thunderstorm the soldiers experienced as they crossed the river;[1] dry lightning is an almost daily occurrence in the region during certain times of the year.

In his March 17, 1990 column, he wrote that diesel engines, the exhaust from which was used in the Treblinka gas chambers, "do not emit enough carbon monoxide to kill anybody. ... Demanjuk's weapon of mass murder cannot kill."

A well-researched article by Jamie McCarthy persuasively identifies Buchanan's source as the July 1988 issue of the German American Information and Education Association, a revisionist group. That issue goes on to say "the German people were 'holocausted' after WW II, especially by the Bolsheviks, originally a Jewish/Zionist movement."

To this day - the last week of February 1996 to be exact - Buchanan still defends his Demanjuk columns as "the best journalism I ever did.” And he contests several other generally accepted aspects of German history. (He is himself entirely German, on his mother's side, and half Irish on his father's.) Buchanan argued that the British started the terror-bombing in WWII (causing Germans to retaliate). He wrote Reagan's infamous description of the German soldiers buried in Bitburg, Germany (including SS members) as "victims of the war". He wrote a column in 1990 publicizing "Other Losses", a book alleging that one million German POWs died in American camps at the end of WW2, due to General Eisenhower's supposedly fanatical hatred of Germans. He argued Britain started WWI and pulled us into a fight with Germany through "lying British propaganda."

William Hetzler, the Chairman and Founder of the GAMHOF, stated that: "We at GAMHOF are so proud to warmly welcome Donald J. Trump and John Roebling to the German-American Hall of Fame."

The formal induction ceremony took place at Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York City. GAMHOF Chairman William Hetzler recently met with Mr. Trump to inform him of the Board of Trustees' decision. "I am honored to join the remarkable group of outstanding Americans already in the Hall," said Mr. Trump. GAMHOF was established in 2004 by prominent Americans of German ancestry to recognize and celebrate the impact of German immigrants and their progeny to the United States by highlighting some of the most remarkable German-Americans through a virtual "Hall of Fame." As has been a custom every year, there was a posthumous inductee, and that individual for 2012 was John A. Roebling, the revolutionary civil engineer builder of the Brooklyn Bridge and other notable American structures.
