yeah, i agree. for general mod actions though, i appreciate the transparency of the admin log for sure, i never thought of it as controversial

question at hand is does the ban need to be permanent? i think the answer to that should be informed by Boring's history of engagement with ILX, which i personally don't know and have no opinions about.

i thought the thing is that all bans display as "banned permanently" due to some weird glitch... so idk if that's actually permanent. i admit to not following every post in the recent godawful nightmare in this thread, but that was one of my takeaways. agreed about suicide "jokes."

yeah i don't know if Boring had previous form, none that i've noticed, but i feel like you could read that joke as directed at the poster, which would be bad, or not directed at the poster so much as shrug at the entanglement of living in the here and now, which is ok a dark joke but not nasty enough to warrant a ban imo
