i skimmed the thread and even his "pro" 1975 posts were relentlessly trolly and designed to make the conversation revolve around his insults directed at the band's lead singer and/or posters who persisted in liking their earlier music. ime he's made a few good or interesting points about bands i like but that's buried in a lot of smiley-faced trolling that never gave any kind of respect or credence to the existing discussion or discussants, and a lot of insulting condescension where anybody who called out the above was a whiny baby who couldn't handle his hot takes. it would have been cool if he'd taken any of it to heart and tried to be a better poster, but he didn't, and i can't say it's a bad thing for ILM if he's gone.
