dear robins, sparrows, and chickadees,

i write with news of noteworthy shows! as feathered things and forsythias get the spring party started, i am ready to join the excitement and burst open with new songs and collaborations. may will be bookended with performances that i am thrilled to share with the finally-thawed world!

our concert coincides with a temporary exhibit of some of Leonardo's works rarely seen this side of the ocean, and is not to be missed! and though we are always happy to play and collaborate on songs written mostly by singer Mali Sastri, for the first time ever, each of the band members has gotten a chance to write a song inspired by da Vinci for jaggery to play. i myself have written a song inspired by Leonardo's codex on the flight of birds, and i am super excited to debut it, especially with how amazing my bandmates make it sound!!!

apart from cricket and £football£, which sports give you the biggest formalist boner? and what are the most esoteric sports you follow?

regularly watch 3-cushion (carom) billiards on youtube - it's formalist near-perfection - a standardised table, no pockets, 3 balls and essentially only one rule and yet a multitude of methods and considerations arising at each visit to the baize, the sainted baize, the verdant carpet of dreams

tennis is a great formalist sport let down only by the physical limitations of the human body - but less so than in certain other sports

water polo is foul & dreadfully contrived and were rugby to not exist it'd probably be the worst sport in any formal sense, i feel such a void in my soul whenever i glimpse it

golf is anti-formalism but in a nice way

i'll listen to that song tomorrow :) it's too late for loud sounds now

but yeah, carom billiards. would very much like to own a table later in life - it is one of only a very few material ambitions i have

also while i hate rugby i actually, truly, think that afl is kinda ok-to-good based on what i've seen - it's formally much looser and more chaotic, and has a far more satisfying scoring system - spiritually much closer to the gaa sports than to the abysmal trench warfare of rugby

u could assuage some of your gender imbalance worries by patronizing that london womens afl league
