The team has unveiled "new" uniforms for Sunday home games which, as expected, are recreations of the team's garb from 1978-1993. Blue pinstripes adorn the white jerseys and pants, "BREWERS" is stitched across the chest and the caps feature the popular "ball and glove" logo.

I don't think the Padres have ever had a uni that didn't look like something out of McDonald's drive through.
The Brewers fun hat is the one from the early 70s with the big frosty mug of beer on the front.
The Mariners had that trident on the hat forever until it was pointed out that that is considered a maritime symbol of bad luck. Oddly enough they seemed to start winning around the time they dropped the trident.

Alex Rodriguez has gone ivory-footed in the All-Star Game at least since his Rangers days. Writing in his now-defunct blog two years ago (yes, A-Rod had a blog), he explained why: "When I was a kid, I used to watch the All-Star Game on TV. I grew up a big Mets fan, as many of you know..."

1)I was really bummed to see that the Rays removed any hint of green from their new uni's.
2)The Mets have the best uni's in all of sports. The orange highlights KILL me everytime.

i mean he took existing logos, put them on a different type of shirt, and added a random corporate sponsor. doesn't really require 2500 words of insight into his 'design process'.
at least there are no pink versions for the ladies tho

I was just thinking last night about starting a "when do you think MLB/NFL/NBA uniforms will be logo'd up like they do in soccer or motor sports?" thread.
― WilliamC, Wednesday, 2 January 2013 22:13 (ten years ago) link
think he did a good job! (regardless of how much effort might have been needed)i think it's more than just using a "different type of shirt" tho... i like the way he incorporated the nuances of soccer jerseys, like the horizontal/diagonal stripes for example - and i didn't even know about the stars/championships thing.and speaking as a designer, i never read someone's blithering about their design process etc unless i'm *really* interested (so i read the blue jays part).
