talk historical shit too, bros. Give me a team to root for, and why (aside from because Brent O. lives in the same state).

I don't just live in the same state, I graduated from that school! It could be two CWS Championships in three years for the Burnt Orange!

You should root for Texas because they produced the majors only two-way player, Brooks "Real Men Don't Eat" Kieschnick.

dave mccarty was converted to pitcher in sox camp this spring, he made the club as an outfielder after burks went down. he's currently splitting time as mop-up reliever/1b/of.

Somehow I didn't even get to see Texas play even once all season, although admittedly I don't even get interested till conference tournament time. My current university (Houston) was eliminated over the weekend too.

I was actually in Austin the day Texas lost to Stanford in the regional, but I was across the street from Disch-Faulk field at the Girls Softball High School State Championship game. My cousin plays for my old high school's team and she drove in the game-winning runs in the 11th inning for the Class AAAA Champion Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears.

Doesn't it seem kind of mind boggling that it took nearly 30 years between the last time the Big Ten put a team in the College World Series with Indiana going this year? The last Big Ten school in the tournament was Michigan in 1984 which featured Barry Larkin, Hal Morris and Scott Kamieniecki.

At least LSU didn't fall for the banana in the tailpipe.

So, my alma mater is apparently in the finals of this thing!

I haven't followed college sports in years, but I turned on MSU's game the other day and knew immediately from the longhaired beardos that Ron Polk wasn't involved anymore -- he had a strict short hair/clean shaven policy.
