Yu Darvish comes out after 4.2 innings. Maddon, pitching coach and trainer came out. Thought they were looking at his hand/finger....we will find out shortly.

Fulmer has opted for TJ.

Fulmer said he was told scar tissue had built up from previous surgeries (ulnar nerve transposition in 2017, bone spur removal before that) and likely led to ligament damage.

Strangest injury of the spring alert: Pompey was scratched from today's lineup after he bumped his head on some bats that were located on top of his locker. He is currently being evaluated. #BlueJays

feel like TJ is a right-of-passage for any serious pitching prospect.

I'd think it would be a possibility with Greene's talents, but I think losing a whole year away from swinging a bat at age 19 won't help that either.

Mike Trout out indefinitely with a right groin pull.

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Wednesday, 10 April 2019 04:32 (one month ago) Permalink

Looks like it was this slide that caused the damage:

Trout had two hits in the first three innings and ends up leaving the game. Hopefully nothing too serious he grabbed something on the right side after being forced out at second. #thehaloway pic.twitter.com/KCaMFxJxwK

Here’s a hot take on Rays top prospect Wander Franco.

The 18-year-old shortstop playing at Class A Bowling Green had to leave Thursday’s game at Lake County (outside Cleveland) in the third inning because he was too hot.

With temperatures in the 40s, Franco, who is from the Dominican Republic and never played in such cold before this week, tried to be better prepared for the final game of the series.

But he applied too much of a gel players use to keep warm, according to a team official, and after batting for the second time felt too uncomfortable to keep playing.

"You cannot make this up," the team official said.
