rip bryan price
Firing the manager just to plug in the guy sitting next to him is a clear sign you have no plan. Doing it three weeks into the season is a reminder you never did.— Joe Sheehan (@joe_sheehan) April 19, 2018

I had to think for a minute about who Price managed.

buck showalter might be in trouble too, except that no one seems to know who is actually running the orioles. i think his contract's up at the end of the season anyway -- maybe one day he'll show up at the ballpark to find brady anderson in his office and everyone insisting they don't know who he is

Yost has two recent WS appearances, you're allowed to have one god-awful season
agreed that firing someone after 3 weeks is idiotic. its baseball's most transparent "DO SOMETHING!" move

nothing is better than firing the first-base coach imo

Jim Riggleman has been interim manager in a box since the Reds hired him as a coach after all that went down with the Nationals.
Price did some questionable moves, but I don't think any manager would have won with that AAA pitching staff. Totally crap weather hasn't helped but the poor start and that overall record 279-387 pretty much has killed attendance. Home games have been nearly empty even playing the Cubs and Cardinals.
So they tied him to the stake set him on fire and can claim to the fan base that they have heard them and we are on the road to winning now.
