how much are they paying BB-Rod this year?
great use of him mixing up those consistently blown leads in the 7th or 8th with staccato pulses of beating up on the other team by 5 runs.
dude is getting PAID to keep in shape at this point.

i'm really touched that you guys wanted me back the night of the Francouer trade so you could use me as a pinata.
I can't endure being the only Mets fan on this thread next year, if I'm still here. You could just call it METS HATE and let Shasta run roughshod.

I personally believe that the NY Mets of Queens are able to come back because, uh, some fans out there in our nation don't have faith and, uh, I believe that our, uh, fandom like such as in, uh, Baseball Prospectus and, uh, the BIll James and everybody like such as, and I believe that they should, uh, our run-production over here in the tri-state area should help the Mets, uh, should help Carlos Beltran and should help NL East and the Phillies, so we will be able to build up our future for our team.

the high-RBI periods in Francoeur's career do more to prove what a fucking useless stat it is than anything since the retirement of that hack Joe Carter.

cstbtweetMark Reynolds - 4 HR's in 12 Citi Field AB's. David Wright - 4 HR's in nearly 200 Citi AB's. Fuck it, blame the Mets pitching.

Second baseman Luis Castillo(notes) left the New York Mets’ game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night with a sprained left ankle after he slipped and fell in the dugout.
Castillo grounded out leading off the seventh and was on his way back to the bench when he tumbled down the dugout steps and had to be helped up the tunnel by some teammates.

BB-Rod coughs up a few and costs Santana yet another decision (not that he pitched well or anything).
