I was thinking about how this would be if it were 1965 (or even 1975--Ryan or Tiant): the Dodgers would send out Scherzer on two days rest, he'd throw 147 pitches, and win (or lose) 6-4. Not meant as an endorsement: just a different world.

If it's not a blowout, tonight will be the first game I watch from start to finish all year.

I know I keep saying this - but this giants team is so strange. A bunch of aging / journeymen vets all having amazing seasons at the same time. This is only my second time watching them play this year - I’ll eventually stop repeating myself.
