Just to clarify this: Sox can wear City Connect jerseys on the road so long as they don’t look too much like the home team’s jerseys. But they can’t wear white pants on the road. (Even though it’s not Labor Day yet!)

i know why it looks like that, i just don't think it looks good on a baseball uniform! i mean the new york yankees are free to use i dunno the lehman brothers font to pay tribute to the victims of 9/11 but it doesn't mean it works

This is what the back of the white jerseys look like with the new template. Players are pretty unhappy. Miles Mikolas says they also don’t fit right; pants are no longer as customized, and the fabric is a very different consistency.

That’s why the union wants to get involved in a remedy.

And some say the eggshell color of the pants -- the fabric is the same as last year -- is creating a see-through vibe. The fit has also come into question.

After visiting over a half-dozen spring camps in Arizona, Clark is getting a clearer picture of the complaints.

"A lot of the rhetoric is confirmation that the pants are see-through," Clark said. "It's been an ongoing conversation where each day has yielded something new that doesn't seem to make as much sense as you would like it."

Each camp seemingly has a different issue, including some that are worried about supply-chain problems that led at least one player to tell Clark he might have to go to Dick's Sporting Goods for spare pants.

that said, looking at that photo yeah, the pant is definitely a valid universal concern. they should replace them with skirts. the rockford peaches look. it'd look good and it'd be practical.

Mets city connect jersey a little underwhelming/drab but could have been worse. Would like more purple. I was expecting neon orange and electric blue light swirls.

Do players wear new uniforms often? I always thought they might wear a new set every game because those are pristine, but then I saw a piece of patching on a player’s leg that has thrown this into confusion.

Since the uniforms are tailored (?) do they get a limited amount of these and launder and mend as necessary?

i still assume they wear a new shirt every game (at least the big names), so that topps will have enough game-worn jerseys to chop up and stick on limited edition baseball cards. a chunk of game-worn pants tho, idk how well that'd do with (most of) the card collecting community.
