over the last few days i adapted to the idea of watching baseball men running around in empty stadiums, and thought that would at least be deeply and intensely weird (thumbs up?). but i didn't even consider the possibility of one of the SEVERAL HUNDRED WEALTHY BASEBALL MEN coming down with it, which now that i think of it seems almost inevitable.

did you ever watch that 2015 (i think) empty stadium baltimore game? it is pretty fucked up

at one point jeff samardzija does the nose-clearing-inhale, the loogie-hocking-set-up-throat-thing, and the loogie-launch, all on camera and EXTREMELY on microphone. it's rough. and it wasn't even an empty stadium due to, you know, a disease spread by fluids. my point is, jeff samardzija is disgusting

On Thursday MLB announced that effective Friday, March 13 it would be suspending all spring training events indefinitely, and the delay could potentially impact the start of the regular season.

Today Commissioner Robert D. Manfred, Jr. conducted a conference call with the 30 Clubs of Major League Baseball. Following last night’s newly updated recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) restricting events of more than 50 people for the next eight weeks, the opening of the 2020 regular season will be pushed back in accordance with that guidance.

I bet they're really regretting the 26-man rosters now.
