I think we should just go ahead with the draft on that date tbh unless everyone else disagrees. Maybe it depends on whether or not Charles Barkley gave the Angels coronavirus I guess.

aside from the Charles Berkley part, i agree.
best to stick with a date that, miraculously, no one has had an issue with and that would at least allow us to made trades and gaze longingly at our league-winning lineup.

my2cents: I'd prefer to push the date to reflect the season best we can.

they're saying a delay could go back as far as July – and as more news comes in, the less i'm confident the US has the ability to handle this situation...
maybe putting the draft on hold is the way to go.

it's a bit of a risk someone gets screwed somehow, the larger the interim after draft

I don't think theres anything to lose in delaying it, so why not do that

i'm happy either way, as long as i get to pick 10-20 baseball men at some point this summer.

if they cancel the whole season i'll just make a pretend draft for myself and stare at it longingly til september.

If the NBA is looking to head back in June, with the playoffs extending into late summer, then baseball could easily be off until then too. The season would be maybe 100 games plus playoffs? With no transactions or new injuries between now and whenever the season starts up again, would anyone really draft differently if the draft was held now vs two months from now? But I'm fine either way.

i think there is the potential injuries pop-up or maybe some teams don't get started on time due to sick players? there's so many variables at this point.
i also think i would go insane looking at a fantasy lineup i couldn't do anything with.

i don't think it'll make a huge difference but it's probably prudent to delay

yeah the thing i am most worried about is just 2 months of chances for catchers to injure themselves in luggage-related injuries (looking at you, both lucroy and perez, somehow)

I had the first two of my three drafts yesterday. It's like the ultimate fantasy draft because even the sports themselves aren't real!

i already did my other league's draft a week ago today (it is blowing my mind that that was only 8 DAYS AGO) so i'm actually excited about this one being delayed, can't wait to see the difference between what i valued on march 15th and what i value on an undetermined day in the future hopefully!

Nate Pearson – ERA of 6.61 and is now on the IL wth elbow issues
Dinelson Lamet – unharmed as of yet
Dylan Bundy – pitching surprising well somehow
Mitch Keller – IL for a month now with a strained oblique

I should also mention that one of those young arms was meant to replace Luis Severino, who has now missed two seasons

It appears that I have won this year's edition of the ILB fantasy league, a league that I created in the spring of 2003 and had never finished higher than 5th prior to this season.
