Scherzer announced as the SP for Game 7. I have no clue how he can pitch after not being able to dress himself two days ago, that must have been one hell of a cortisone shot. Still, 70% of Scherzer is better than anyone else the Nats could put out there.

Saw an interview with Bregman last night that was interesting. He said he got caught up in his emotions, shouldn't have done it, apologized, and said he deserved Soto mimicking him. Seemed genuine to me, although someone else might find it calculating. Not sure why some of you hate Bregman all of a sudden--too much Steve Garvey/Gary Carter?

If Washington wins, dumb when I said the MVP would be between Strasburg and Rendon last night. Obviously, Soto would be very much a contender, if not the favourite.

Eaton's in there too if the Nationals win--the three of them are close enough that one huge game (or a key late-game hit) would move that guy to the top of the list. I assume they wouldn't bring Strasburg in for even one batter? I think you'll see Cole at some point.
