Starting G6 on short rest is inviting disaster though. The Astros have a solid, rested bullpen for G6 and Cole on full rest in G7 -- I can't really argue with that.

NoTimeBeforeTime, Saturday, 19 October 2019 12:58 (six years ago)

Starting pitchers are still listed as TBD on MLB's site (by the way, I like CCR better than BTO)...I thought after the delay Cole would be on full rest tonight.

While starters (or "openers") haven't been announced for tonight, the managers indicated last night that a G7 wd be Cole vs Severino.

Future Yogi Berra: in an interview with Hazel Mae, Josh Reddick said the thing that links all his postseason teams is that they "didn't know when to stop quitting."

More shots of Brian Cashman's guests, please.

Houston seems determined to put Gerrit Cole's invincibility to the test.

BRANTLEEEEEEEEEEY

May that be the death blow

a Mets fan who gave up on everything in the mid '80s (Dr Morbius), Sunday, 20 October 2019 03:06 (six years ago)

The throw was actually way better than the catch (and the catch was great).

NoTimeBeforeTime, Sunday, 20 October 2019 03:09 (six years ago)

Hey douchebag with the astros astronaut helmet on

calstars, Sunday, 20 October 2019 03:12 (six years ago)

The astrodome is just a huge teepee and when the fly ball is corrupted by big business, what are the outfielders to do?

calstars, Sunday, 20 October 2019 03:16 (six years ago)

Brantley has always been an underrated player. I saw him make an unbelievable catch for the Indians against the Reds in the far corner of right field. It was a full speed and dive extension up in the wall corner. Amazing catch, easily one of the best I ever saw in person.

earlnash, Sunday, 20 October 2019 03:19 (six years ago)

I haven't heard many Smoltz-called game the past couple of years...he seems like he's got a little tiredness or brain fog or disinterest going on now. He trails off without finishing his sentence more than he used to.

Galangal Baker (WmC), Sunday, 20 October 2019 03:24 (six years ago)
