feel like they will definitely win the division, as that's the only way for their postseason to consist solely of losing to the yankees

today the WC winner would play NYY (1.5 ahead of HOU)

Among whatever other records they set this year, I wonder if they'll be the first team ever to get 20+ HR out of every single position (DH included)? If you go by the nine guys with the most AB, the three positions that come in under 20 are second, short, and center. But:
2B - Schoop has 17, all while playing 2B; Aarez has one; Adrianza has one; Gonzalez has one.SS - Polanco has 19; Adrianza has one.CF - Buxton has 10 in 82 games, all CF; Kepler's hit 13 playing center.
I assume the other six positions are all over 20, since the main guy at each position has 20+ for the season.

Anyway, they did it (and today strung together four against-the-shift hits in one inning).

I thought the tigers had managed this 10-15 years ago?

Schoop now has 21 homeruns. Only home run left from the SS position and they have 20+ for each position.
Total baseball.

Thermo, you might have been thinking about the 2005 Rangers.
